There has to be a special place in Hell for those who preach about Hell and damnation and then commit the most heinous crimes, using religion as a cover.

Like in so many religious faiths, you have your extreme elements. i would say that these few certainly belong in that category. But the most disturbing part about this entire article is, look at the amount of jail time that these individuals were given. That is the real shame of this story. For everything they did to this poor child, and to be only sentenced to one year is the crime itself. But like many crimes, the perpetrators all to often get off with light sentences.

Agreed. The jail time and punishment for these assholes is a fucking joke. Also, the mother should be charged for encouraging this and for being a piece of shit.

I hope for the short time they’re in prison, they are beaten and tortured daily….In the name of Christ, of course.

Hey now, the mother may not have known that this would happen. How many parents, send their kids off to reform schools or other places, in order to teach them to be better kids. Should the parents then be punished if something bad happened?

Ok so the abusers are Christian. That really should not be the crux of the article. It should be that the boy was abused and what to look out for, in abusers.

yes – any parent who sends their kids off to military, reform or whatever to “fix” them should have been fixed before the kid ever arrived.

The judge apparently showed leniency to them for their good judgement in leaving him in the car while they were at Denny’s.

not if they are black.. most of the time they get sentences that are far to extreme for the crime committed

I don’t give a fuck. Fuck these fucking people, and fuck them for hiding behind a CHRISTIAN church to abuse kids.

PS: Bianca, I will agree with you, however, that regardless of religious or political affiliation, these crimes are horrible and inexcusable. It’s also possible the mother had no idea to the extent by which these activities were carried out, but for her to throw her son to the wolves like that really made me mad, and I can’t believe she was just oblivious to all of this.

I made my libertarian friend read this story and he still thinks the convictions were “government over reach.” Libertarians are sick bastards. ‘Nuff said.

I cannot pass up a John Prager story without putting #Benghazi #NeverForget in the comments no matter what the subject. It just isn’t done.

They need the Warden Norton greeting when they get to prison ” I believe in two things: discipline and the Bible. Here you’ll receive both. Put your trust in the Lord; your ass belongs to me. Welcome to Shawshank.”

2 years? You HAVE to be f’ing kidding me…Baddog, not the entire human race, only about 30% those who identify as both conservative, and “Christian” (in quotes because I have my doubts about anyone who identifies as conservative REALLY being Christian, it happens, but it’s rare, ime.)

Pastor Remmers has previously done time in prison for fraud, and is now facing new wire fraud charges in Ohio. It seems he has settled on Christians as his victims of choice, possibly because they have already demonstrated an eager willingness to believe fictitious claims.

The commandant at Auschwitz attended mass every Sunday. I heard this from a priest speaking on EWTN (Catholic radio station). I have to believe in Divine Justice because human justice is rarely justice at all as we witness what happens in our court system.
Events like this one have occurred throughout human history in secret. Perhaps the only thing better now is that they are now more apt to be exposed. I hope that the cycle of hatred and abuse will be purged as people begin to wake up to the horror of it.

Hate & fear are cries for love? How many of us still answer that cry with more hate & fear?
