Nobody Brazenly Grabs Power Like Republicans

We’ve heard the right wing spin machine call President Obama a King who has brazenly attempted to usurp power. A Christian Publication said our president is deceitful and added this:

(President Obama) …behaves like a king, a dictator – someone who believes that his own pronouncements have the force of law, and who thinks he can dispense with the law’s enforcement when he deigns to do so. And those of us who object? How dare we? Racists!

Who Really Runs Things In America?

Three recent events prove this accusation of alleged royal conduct to be false.  First, the Republican House has erased any transparency with regards to disclosure of benefactors who fund “political” trips. Second, The Supreme Court has decided corporations can determine when life begins. And finally, two billionaires have used their money to successfully back a new segregation movement, Jim Crow-style, in states where they can buy politicians who will support their agenda.

The bill to eliminate disclosure of lobbyists’ gifts of travel was passed behind closed doors with minimal fanfare.  This bill eliminates disclosing who paid and how the amount financed.  Congress, when selfishly motivated, can quickly pass any bill they wish.

The move made behind closed doors and without public announcement by the House Ethics Committee, reverses more than three decades of precedent. Gifts of free travel to lawmakers have appeared on the yearly financial form dating back its creation in the late 1970s, after the Watergate scandal.

In the ruling of the Hobby Lobby case, the Supreme Court decided not to cover certain forms of birth control, but rather classify some as abortifacients. The problem with this line of thinking:

This court has given corporations the power to decide when life itself begins.

Yes, corporations now have more decision making-ability than a woman herself when it comes to reproductive health matters.

Lastly, the Koch Brothers, the embodiment of Libertarianism served with a large side of unfettered capitalism, have ingrained themselves through ALEC into public education. Their efforts are directed towards increasing the inequality we tried to erase through the Civil Rights Movement.  The drive to end segregated education was the most radical and revolutionary aspect of the civil rights movement.  Alas, we learn this.

ALEC-endorsed candidates outspent their opponents hardily thanks to Koch dollars and took over the school board. They enacted ALEC-backed policies, even going so far as to resegregate the schools. (Emphasis mine)

Every time I hear a right winger refer to President Obama as a “King,” I’m immediately struck with the realization they are simply projecting their own guilty admissions onto Barack Obama.  Hey GOP, meet kettle.

They could at least make up their minds. Is he a king or ineffective (weak) leader, an usurper or a mole for Islam. A communist, Marxist, Liberal, etc you get the idea. Maybe they could pick one and vote on it.

Sad thing is the FLEA Potty is so dominating even though they represent only a small fraction of the people and try to impose their will on the much larger majority. Even though they lose most elections the will of the people are pushed to the side with the FLEA Potty because their parents Charles and David Koch keeps feeding the monster and allows it to live because the greedy, hateful Establishment GOP thinks they need the FLEA Potty to keep up with their base. Strange isn’t it?

Until the people can get a petition submitted so we can get a referendum put up to vote on campaign finance reform, the voice of the people will continue to be silenced in favor of the few. Remove private money from political campaigns and severely limit lobbying, and this crap will stop.

The Koch brothers along with the
conservatives with the tea party, they are steadfast on destroying America.
They are moving this country back to King George the third administration type
of government, an oligarchy type. We have to stick together and prevent this
from happening the strength of America is in the middle class, and not the top
1%. Their plan of inequality the separation of Americans working class from the
corporate elite, would turn us into a third world country forcing the working
family to struggle and live like peasants, I will say this again, a King George
the third monarchy type of government, to drive the point home.

The Supreme Court of United States of
America, decision on Citizens United, that they have re-moved all and any
limitation, on how much money one can devote to their political Campaign,
making their voice on steroids, and the average American voice on aspirin. We
have to, as a country unite to stop this from taking over our democracy, to
return the voice back to the general population, the average American, instead
    of the 1%.

Our savor the Lord Jesus, he said
healed the sick, feed the hungry, care for the weakest

among us, and always pray in private. For some reason Republicans,
Conservatives and especially the tea party, with the Kock brothers, with their
wealth that they have inherited, they have a hard time understanding this man’s
teachings. They might want to consider rethinking their position on being a
    Christian.

This is a challenge that I will pass on to you spread the
word, by saying, I want my country back, back from the aristocracy that Koch
brothers are trying to force upon this country.
