Busted: Open Carry Activist Poses As Random ‘Target Customer’ In Front Of News Camera At A Moms Group Protest

Posted by | July 1, 2014 20:23 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

The same gun humper who has been posting images of himself Open Carrying in the Richmond, Virginia, area Target stores just happened to be at a Moms Demand Action event over the weekend. Oh sure, there are coincidences in life, but the Open Carry groups are notorious for following the gun safety group around, even to the point of staking them out while they eat lunch in a restaurant.

David Taylor is seen posing as a random customer at Target, then just happens to give his views on gun rights while a news camera is rolling. Of course, he did so without mentioning that he’s part of the Open Carry groups which the Moms group is protesting.

He’s seen posing as a random Target customer and also just happens, by pure coincidence I’m sure, to be interviewed by WRIC. You see how he’s wearing his concerned face?

Strictly by coinky dink, he looks strikingly familiar to this man who has been protesting with long rifles at their stores.

This “random” customer is also this guy, who just happens (wink wink) to be supporting Target for their support of protests inside and outside of their establishments’ premises.

It’s certainly not illegal to be duplicitous. Taylor is not a random customer weighing in on the topic of walking around with long arms strapped to their backs, which most find extremely intimidating.

Watch him just happen to be at the same place and the same time as the Moms group — with cameras rolling, They’re ready for your closeup, Mr. Taylor:

WRIC Richmond News and Weather –

As reported here, a San Antonio based Target store told protesters, including a mother whose daughter was killed in the Colorado theater shooting, to leave because they were a ‘distraction.’ Still, gun fetishists are welcomed into their stores.

I would never want to infringe on David Taylor’s right to be duplicitous but for every action, there’s a reaction. Enjoy your moment, because you were just busted for lying by omission.

Target is so #OffTarget.

Let me see, his dietary intake is obvious considering his physical aspect, now add his stupidity to how sneaky he thinks he is, and the open carry tag fits him to a “T”. I bet these numbskulls cannot explain why more than 95% of this crowd consist of white males.

That crowd are a bunch of A-hats but here’s something for you called “Inconvenient truth”

      http://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/ascii/vfluc.txt
Blacks (46%) comprised a higher percentage of murderers than Hispanics (27%) or whites (23%).

46% from 6% of the population.

But hey! Who am I and why would the government lie?

Target doesn’t care. Are we clear on this yet? Weeks have gone by, months and Target is still giving us a big fat FU.

    • Foundryman July 1st, 2014 at 20:48

I think you’re right. There were never enough progressive who shopped there in the first place to make a difference now. I sent them an email a few weeks ago letting them know I wasn’t going in their stores anywhere until they make a statement about keeping guns out of their stores. I’m sure many others did too, they don’t care, probably like the publicity.

      • Anomaly 100 July 1st, 2014 at 20:49

I shopped there (past tense). They had some pretty good deals, but Costco is even better. I’ll be getting a Costco card this week. Obviously, they don’t mind my business.

        • Foundryman July 1st, 2014 at 20:57

I wish there was a cosco near where i’m at…nearest one is about 60 miles away…

          • Anomaly 100 July 1st, 2014 at 20:59

Damn. There must be another alternative.

              We have Kohl’s and Meijer’s…Wla-mart but I don’t go near Wal-mart either….

              • Anomaly 100 July 1st, 2014 at 21:06

                K-Mart?

                • Foundryman July 1st, 2014 at 21:08

We had a Super K-Mart, until Wal-Mart moved in across the road….Now it’s a parking lot.

                  • Anomaly 100 July 1st, 2014 at 21:11

Figures. WalMart does that to areas, and they also eliminate the Mom and Pop stores

                    • m2old4bs July 1st, 2014 at 23:30

which is why, among other labor issue, I boycott Wal-Mart. It was actually the first on my boycott list.

                • Foundryman July 1st, 2014 at 21:20

Actually, K-Mart is owned by a far right wing nut that used the Ayn Rand economic business plan, bought Sears and is currently running both into the ground…

        • M D Reese July 1st, 2014 at 22:55

I live in the “bush” and I think the nearest Costco is at least 300 air miles from me. However one of our 3 small supermarkets just put in a 20′ x 20′ “Costco Corner” in their store. We used to have to mail order a lot of the stuff. The prices are great and they carry a lot of Costco’s bulk food items and a few sundries. The spices and nuts are especially affordable. They have 2 workers dedicated to keeping that area stocked and they can barely keep up.

          • BanditBasheert July 2nd, 2014 at 22:54

            Cool!

            • M D Reese July 3rd, 2014 at 17:32

I hope it starts a trend. I make sure to let them know that I appreciate it and shop that section. I guess they have some sort of contract with Costco. A lot of the food is “Kirkland” brand.

      • m2old4bs July 1st, 2014 at 23:28

Yup, did the same. So far no reply, not even a rote “thank you for contacting us” type of thingy. It joins my ever growing boycott list.

      • BanditBasheert July 2nd, 2014 at 22:54

I’d agree except after that pesky little faux pas where they lost hundreds of thousands of people’s credit card numbers, Target is definitely trying to become “the company most hated”.
There is nothing at Target that can’t be bought anywhere else.

    • LoriBelle July 1st, 2014 at 20:53

What do you expect from an anti-gay company? Its been years since I shopped there. I have too many gay/lesbian friends to step foot in one of those stores.
