Why Maliki Rejects A Unity Government

Nouri al-Maliki doesn’t want a resurrection of the Baath Party, the party of Saddam Hussein, and that is what he fears if Sunnis are allowed back into government. Of course without a unity government, it’s doubtful that Maliki’s reign can survive.
