Kerry: U.S. Might Not Wait To Take Military Action In Iraq

Secretary of State John Kerry says the United States may not wait for a political solution before taking military action in Iraq.

“They do pose a threat,” Mr. Kerry said, referring to the fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. “They cannot be given safe haven anywhere.”

“That’s why, again, I reiterate the president will not be hampered if he deems it necessary if the formation is not complete,” he added, referring to the Iraqi efforts to establish a new multisectarian government that bridges the deep divisions among the majority Shiites and minority Sunnis, Kurds and other smaller groups.

No more blood for China & India’s Iraqi oil contracts! We’ve wasted 4,484 US KIA in Iraq, spending $1.7 trillion plus interest already totaling $6 T+ on Halliburton Cheney’s faux Iraq oil war that spiked oil 10-fold to US record $147/brl with $5 per gallon gas in 2008.

Just say no to the subsidiary GOP’s parent company, Big Oil!

interesting that by following the repug/democratic/tea party fiasco and the screaming demand for guns- there seems to be a scary scenario developing in the usa. the extreme religious and political right are something to be worried about – and they are in the back/side/front yards.

Kerry should know as well as any who are veterans, the RUSH to war don’t always give the results you’re looking for (especially if it’s an internal civil strife that requires backing one side, kinda like when GW & Dick backed Maliki).
If standing back and allowing the Iraqi people to decide the fate of Maliki’s dictatorship results in a more unified and stable Iraq, would that have been a bad thing? War against the Muslim Belt (actually started when Bush ordered the illegal invasion of Iraq by renegade Military Leaders) will happen, regardless of the outcome of the Sunni uprising against Maliki. Does the US learn or will we have to be burned by Cheney’s lies -AGAIN?
