Herman Cain: Stupid People Are Ruining America

Posted by | June 20, 2014 20:12 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Herman “9-9-9” Cain says there are too many stupid people here who are ruining the country by voting.

Cain pointed out that only 58% of registered voter actually voted in the last presidential election. “What about the 42% that stay at home?” he asked.

He’s not so sure they should be voting in the first place. “I have even heard people say, ‘Well, I don’t vote because I don’t know what’s going on,’” Cain remarked. “And I say ‘good!’ Stupid people are ruining America and I’m glad some of a them stay home.”

“Those of us that are informed have to out-vote the stupid people,” he continued as the crowd applauded. “And you have got to become ambassadors of intelligence, ambassadors of information. So number one, stay informed!”

Standing by Herman’s philandering BJ interviewing process, wife Gloria Cain may agree that Palin endorsing her ‘OddFather Pizza hubby as “Herb Caen” cements half-term as the most uninformed voter & oval office candidate in U.S. Hosiery! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herb_Caen

Wow, all the liberal racists on spewing their hatred for a black conservative.

    • arc99 June 20th, 2014 at 21:20

Why should Mr. Cain’s right wing opinions be treated any differently simply because he is black? Your premise itself is racist as if somehow simply because Mr. Cain is black we should not express our abhorrence of his views the same way we would do with a Rick Santorum or Rick Perry?

In any case, as a black man, I trust this will put to bed once and for all that we black folks vote for candidates because of race. Mr. Cain is proof positive of what an outrageous lie that is, along with Michael Steele, Lynn Swann and Alan Keyes.

Black people vote party, not race and I personally would appreciate if right wingers would stop lying about that fact.

      • Bob Waas June 20th, 2014 at 22:55

Listen to the hypocrisy of your comment. Why are conservatives called racist when they question some of the bone head decisions and stupid comments made by Obama?

You only vote for a Democrat candidate regardless of their race? You are a rarity. You couldn’t vote for Cain, Steele, Swann, and Keyes because vote strictly party lines and in most states you weren’t eligible to vote for them in the primaries.

None of my black friends voted for Obama, so maybe you’re a little right. Of course, they’re all Christians. In fact, during the 2008 campaign I mentioned how conflicting it must be for a black Christian to not vote for Obama to be the first black president. She replied, “I wouldn’t care if he was green, I’m not going to vote for that Muslim.” Her words, not mine.

        • arc99 June 20th, 2014 at 23:07

your post makes absolutely no sense. I am a rarity? Right wingers rant about Democrats being on a “plantation” because we vote 90% Democratic, yet you claim I am a rarity?

90% of the electorate is a “rarity”? do you seriously ever think about what you write before posting something so completely illogical? I never said I had the opportunity to vote for Cain, Steele, Swann or Keyes. My point was that the right wing talking point about blacks voting on skin color is a lie and the lack of electoral success of those candidates as well as their loss of the black vote demonstrates that.

So what if your friends are part of the 10% who voted Republican. The world does not revolve around you and your circle of acquaintances.

Blacks vote 90% Democratic because of party not race. The right wing claim to the contrary was a lie and your inability to offer any cogent rebuttal confirms that it was a lie.

My own relatives, sister, brother, and cousins who are southern Baptists all voted for the President.

I have a hunch I am acquainted with more black folks than you. Out of those several hundred blood relatives, relations by marriage and acquaintances, just one that I am aware of, my brother in law voted Republican.

And as far as characterizing the criticism of the President as based on race, as soon as you can tell me which white President had to produce a birth certificate and was accused of lying about his religion, I will concede you might have a point.

In the meantime, whenever a right winger is caught running afoul of the law, you guys whine that the alleged culprit is being prosecuted because they are conservative, so deal with your own victimization syndrome before presuming to lecture other people.

          • Bob Waas June 20th, 2014 at 23:58

Wow, catch your breath. I pointed out that you didn’t vote for Cain, Steele, Swann, or Keyes because you didn’t have a choice, so it wasn’t a good example.

You say you always vote Democrat, so why didn’t you vote for Hillary when she was running in 2008? After all, Obama was a total unknown who had nothing on his resume to qualify him for the job. The issue of his birth certificate came up for several reasons least of all the fact that he paid lots of money to keep his records sealed. Doesn’t that make you even a little suspicious of what he might be hiding?

Blacks vote 90% Democratic hoping that they would deliver on their promises; which they have failed to do. Can you honestly say that minorities are better off for voting Democrat?

Here is something to consider to support the claim that Democrat voters are low information. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=57t4u4c4H98

            • arc99 June 21st, 2014 at 00:08

since I never said I voted for Steele or Swann or Cain, my example was perfectly valid. Steele and Swann were the Republican nominees in the general election for the US Senate in Maryland and the governor’s race in Pennsylvania respectively.

they lost the election and the black vote.

I chose Mr. Obama primarily because of his opposition to the war in Iraq while Hilary made the mistake of listening to conservatives and supporting the war.

I have no interest in the lame BS rationalizations of the birth certificate nonsense. Cite a white President who was hounded about his birth certificate or his religion for that matter. That nonsense has nothing to do with issues and you and the rest of the right wing pretending that it has nothing to do with race are at best in denial, and at worst part of the problem in enabling bigots.

I happen to think that all of America is better off than we were in January 2009. Unemployment is down. You can get health insurance without worrying about pre existing conditions

and I will pass on the video, given that some right wingers do not even know that Hawaii is a state, you guys are second to none when it comes to low information voters.

it does not get any more low information than this.

at least Democrats know basic geography.

              http://publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com/2009/08/deeper-look-at-birthers.html

After we conducted polls over the last couple of weeks finding significant numbers of ‘birthers’ in North Carolina and Virginia, we decided to take the question national but also drum down more specifically on where exactly the people who think Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States do think he’s from.

The answer is that 62% of Americans think Obama was born here, while 24% think he was not and 14% are unsure.

10% of the country thinks that he was born in Indonesia, 7% think he was born in Kenya, and 1% think he was born in the Philippines.

That leaves 20%, which includes at least some people who correctly believe that Obama was born in Hawaii, but who don’t consider Hawaii to be part of the United States. You read that right- 6% of poll respondents think that Hawaii is not part of the country and 4% are unsure.

“Cite a white President who was hounded about his birth certificate or his religion for that matter”

Well, there was all that paranoia about Kennedy taking orders from the Pope. But those who believed that are the same type of right-wing bigots who think that Obama is a secret Muslim.

JFK – Catholic – didn’t go over too good with the southern white evangelicals.
Jimmy Carter – not a Baptist cause he sipped champagne
Bill Clinton – no moral values – so states Newt Gingrich during his 3rd known adulterous affair.

when it comes to motives Bob, do you ever question the motives of all the white conservatives who did not vote for Herman Cain?

              • granpa.usthai June 21st, 2014 at 03:32

I kept telling the Cain crowd that they’d never let him in the inner circle. Had they taken my political advice, he could very well be sitting in the oval office right now, enjoying an extra large deluxe while telling protesters to go F themselves. Instead another notpotus winds up sitting in a rundown trashed out WHITE boys second hand radio studio.
Get yourself a hand picked staff, Herman, scrap the WHITE boy’s 999 inspiration knife in the back and go with the real deal!
10-15% off extra large every Friday night. Hell, it might be so popular it becomes known as Pizza with the Prez, where you could have one or two white girls holding up slices to the camera while taking a screened call or two from the select public. Kinda give the nation that ‘fireside’ chat feeling with actual citizen input.

“You say you always vote Democrat, so why didn’t you vote for Hillary when she was running in 2008”

              What a stupid question.
DUH, there were other names on the ballot, dummy. THEY were Democrats, too.

Sheeesh. you have to explain EVERYTHING to some people. Not the sharpest tool in the shed.

        • arc99 June 20th, 2014 at 23:18

to emphasize the point. I did not ask for Mr. Cain’s birth certificate.

I do not accuse him of lying about his religion.

I do not refer to him as a Kenyan or some other foreign national.

I do not make idiotic remarks about the percentage of African blood in his ancestry.

I disagree with him on the issues, period.

There is no hypocrisy in my comments.

          • Bob Waas June 21st, 2014 at 00:39

You can get a copy of Mr. Cain’s birth certificate and his college transcriptions too. All you have to do is ask.

Obama doesn’t demonstrate Christian beliefs; as he claims to be, so his religion or lack thereof come into question.

You disagree with Mr. Cain on the issues, period. I said the same thing about President Obama and I’m called a racist.

            • Obewon June 21st, 2014 at 01:42

Birther Bob Where is GWB’s “birth certificate and his college transcriptions.”-(Any H.S. or College graduate knows they’re called Transcripts!)

And you were proven long ago that Harvard Law confirmed Barack Obama J.D. graduated “Juris Doctor” MagnaCumLaude in the top 10% of his class. Only functionally illiterate racists deny those well proven facts following two inaugurations. What a delusional Moron!

            • jasperjava June 21st, 2014 at 02:01

“You can get a copy of Mr. Cain’s birth certificate”

We have seen TWO bona fide copies of President Obama’s certificate, and you’re still not satisfied.

You’re use ignorant racist birther language, and then you expect people to believe you’re not racist? What kind of idiots do you think we are? We’re not like your so-called “conservative Black friends” in the Ku Klux Klan.

            • arc99 June 21st, 2014 at 02:25

you really don’t get it do you? you make excuses for people bringing up his birth certificate .

you justify people who question the President’s religious beliefs.

your pathetic attempts to defend these attacks tell me that the accusations about you are not without merit. you claim that your criticism is only about the issues. when clearly it is not. you defend attacks on this President that none of his white predecessors ever had to put up with. tells me all I need to know

no you have not said the same things as I have. I would not defend or condone birtherism against Mr. Cain. I would not presume to pass judgement on how he practices his faith. you on the other hand fall all over yourself attempting to legitimize these attacks on the President’s moral character and his Constitutional eligbility to serve. .

given that no white President of either party has ever been faced with this kind of vile garbage, it is my conclusion that this undercurrent of personal attacks is based on race.

your refusal to condemn these attacks in any way and in fact justify them, simply confirms my suspicions.

LYING OUT YOUR YAZOO FOR CORPORATE PROFITS ain’t no Christian teachings, Bob. Not that religious centers in America can’t say whatever they want – don’t make ’em no followers of Christ though. You, yourself seem to be more of what should be termed in the ‘liberal’ media as an alleged christian, same as the Republican Party – especially the religious ones.

            • fahvel June 21st, 2014 at 03:29

oh stop it!!!!! your foot has been in your bigoted mouth for so long you’ve lost your soul. (that’s also supposed to be a word play – had to tell you since your narrowness would never have noticed.)

            • William June 21st, 2014 at 11:57

“Obama doesn’t demonstrate Christian beliefs; as he claims to be, so his religion or lack thereof come into question”.

Which is why he ends each and every speech with “God bless America”..

              But…that aside.

What does his religion have to do with anything?

              How dare you.
His religion has absolutely NOTHING to do with his position as President of the United States.
              Nothing, nadda, zero. zip.
Now the funny part. You racist bagger Bozos go on and on about the President being a Muslim from Kenya…then….you go on and on about the President and his decades long attendance at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
You can’t even get your hate scandals straight.
Maybe some day you’ll jump in to the game for the big win and remember why Americas founders left England in the first place, but I doubt it. I’m fairly certain you’ll remain a small minded little racist theocrat for the rest of your miserable life.

              • Bob Waas June 21st, 2014 at 23:06

Before you go off half-cocked, you may want to read the exchange between arc99 and me. Arc said Obama’s religion was being questioned, I offered a suggestion why.

As for his attendance at the Trinity United Church of Christ; it proves nothing if he didn’t remember the rantings of Rev Wright, he probably didn’t remember any of the other sermons either.

He really doesn’t give any money to the church, so he already lacks one commitment which God demands.

I did notice that all the atheists on this site lack the ability to debate without name calling.

                • William June 22nd, 2014 at 07:54

“He really doesn’t give any money to the church, so he already lacks one commitment which God demands”.

You really are a hateful little turd and pathological liar, aren’t you? You are simply a bad Christian.

According to the first lady’s tax returns released by the White House, the Obamas gave 12.3 percent of their gross income to 32 different organizations in 2013, totaling $59,251.00.

Of this overall charitable giving, the Obamas donated $1,500 to St. John’s Church, an Episcopalian church close to the White House.

I even used a link that YOU would find credible.

        • jasperjava June 21st, 2014 at 01:56

You have Black friends? I don’t believe that for a minute.

For one thing, you’re an ignorant racist bigot, which you are demonstrating over and over again. Even now, in your posts on this thread, you insult Black people for the way they vote. No self-respecting African-American would hang out with a Klansman like you.

Secondly, you are such a nasty, mean-spirited little person that I doubt you have ANY friends at all.

Thirdly, you’re a proven liar, so we can’t believe anything you say. Remember that post you made about President Obama’s announcement of the successful bin Laden raid? I’ll never forget that one.

Anyone who hates with that much rabid, irrational hatred must be motivated by something deeper and darker than mere differences in policy.

        • granpa.usthai June 21st, 2014 at 03:12

All my black friends, co workers, family members voted for Obama same as I did. Not because he’s from Hawaii, but because we didn’t want a 100 year war in Iraq with 40 + thousand dead American Troops and some 30 + trillion US tax dollars in private offshore bank accounts. We all voted again for Obama in 2012, not because he’s from Hawaii, but because we though it would do America well to have a POTUS that knew what a submarine is.

Obama finished his race in 2012, Bob, did pretty good too. Beat the WHITE brown WHITE feller damn good , he did, in hours flat!
So much for the GOPs poor decision to run a KNOWN LOSER in a race against an Hawaiian, huh?

‘we also have boats that go under water, Governor Romney, they’re called submarines’

gotta love it when your POTUS can teach effectively while whupping azz at the same time. Shows ‘REAL LEADERSHIP’

I bet Mr. and Mrs. Greedy Bishop both know what an underwater boat is called now!

Let me ask! – hey, Mr. notpotus, know what a underwater boat is called?

If you think Romney’s gaff was funny, you’ll really enjoy these.

            10. “No, no. I have been practicing…I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.” –making an off-hand joke during an appearance on “The Tonight Show”, March 19, 2009 (Obama later called the head of the Special Olympics to apologize)

            9. “I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances.” -–after saying he had spoken with all the living presidents as he prepared to take office, Washington, D.C., Nov. 7, 2008 (Obama later called Nancy Reagan to apologize)

            8. “The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system.” –in remarks after a health care roundtable with physicians, nurses and health care providers, Washington, D.C., July 20, 2009

            7. “What I was suggesting — you’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith…” –in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, who jumped in to correct Obama by saying “your Christian faith,” which Obama quickly clarified, Sept. 7, 2008

            6. “UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It’s the Post Office that’s always having problems.” –attempting to make the case for government-run healthcare, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument, Portsmouth, N.H., Aug. 11, 2009

            5. “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” — defending his tax plan to Joe the Plumber, who argued that Obama’s policy hurts small-business owners like himself, Toledo, Ohio, Oct. 12, 2008

            4. “The Cambridge police acted stupidly.” —commenting on a white police officer’s arrest of black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his home in Cambridge, Mass., at a news conference, July 22, 2009. As I said the other day, we call out the bigotry when we see it. It’s always obvious and pretty much always the same people. Look in a mirror lately?

    • fancypants June 20th, 2014 at 22:10

are you sure herman is conservative bob I always thought of him as a FN rwnj that comes out of the closet when nobody else answers their phone.

      • granpa.usthai June 21st, 2014 at 02:46

shame the all inclusive WHITE Republican Party won’t let him get to the Iowa Caucus! – we could have been getting a special Presidential 10-15% off the extra large. It would have been great to have seen him in a debate with POTUS Obama with 999 on his podium – only to see it flip to a 666 when he learned about underwater boats.

        • fancypants June 21st, 2014 at 18:37

CPAC would have no problem giving herman all the cash he needs for the debates if they thought he had a lightning bolt of a chance at the polls. CPAC struck out twice in 2012 with Romney and ryan

    • granpa.usthai June 21st, 2014 at 02:49

noticed your Republican Congress seems to be a little WHITER than usual, Bob. any plans on adding some color this fall?

      • Bob Waas June 21st, 2014 at 22:43

We would love more diversity. There has been a good representation for black conservatives in Congress over the years.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_African-American_Republicans

Fortunately, none of them ever made statements like these folks.

“IF CONGRESS ALLOWS SEQUESTRATION CUTS TO TAKE EFFECT, MORE THAN 170 MILLION AMERICANS COULD LOSE THEIR JOBS,” ACCORDING TO REP. MAXINE WATERS (D-CALIF.).

“IF SEQUESTRATION TAKES PLACE, THAT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT SETBACK. WE DON’T NEED TO BE HAVING SOMETHING LIKE SEQUESTRATION THAT’S GOING TO CAUSE THESE JOB LOSSES — OVER 170 MILLION JOBS THAT COULD BE LOST,” WATERS SAID.

SHE WENT ON TO SAY CUTS MUST BE DONE “OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.”

              • jasperjava June 21st, 2014 at 02:06

“Cite a white President who was hounded about his birth certificate or his religion for that matter”

Well, there was all that paranoia about Kennedy taking orders from the Pope. But those who believed that are the same type of right-wing bigots who think that Obama is a secret Muslim.

The US Certified BC was debunked long before Nov. 2008 birther Bob. And was posted on-line with independent expert verification, initially with “redacted ID to prevent fraud” A/K/A “photoshopped” in birther teabonics. http://www.factcheck.org/2008/08/born-in-the-usa/ Yet some ODS racists still cling to ‘the birth certificate’, falsely attempting to rationalize their racism by dog whistling to their faux Christian Klan brethren murderers.

And you were proven long ago that Harvard Law confirmed Barack Obama J.D. graduated “Juris Doctor” MagnaCumLaude in the top 10% of his class and was President of the Harvard Law Review.

You’re using ignorant racist birther language, and then you expect people to believe you’re not racist?

Not that religious centers in America can’t say whatever they want – don’t make ’em no followers of Christ though. You, yourself seem to be more of what should be termed in the ‘liberal’ media as an alleged christian, same as the Republican Party – especially the religious ones.

You really are a hateful little turd and pathological liar, aren’t you? You are simply a bad Christian.

According to the first lady’s tax returns released by the White House, the Obamas gave 12.3 percent of their gross income to 32 different organizations in 2013, totaling $59,251.00.

Of this overall charitable giving, the Obamas donated $1,500 to St. John’s Church, an Episcopalian church close to the White House.

I even used a link that YOU would find credible.

Look in a mirror lately?

are you sure herman is conservative bob I always thought of him as a FN rwnj that comes out of the closet when nobody else answers their phone.

shame the all inclusive WHITE Republican Party won’t let him get to the Iowa Caucus!

CPAC struck out twice in 2012 with Romney and ryan

noticed your Republican Congress seems to be a little WHITER than usual, Bob. any plans on adding some color this fall?

Have I worn out the word “irony” yet?

    • arc99 June 20th, 2014 at 22:08

If you have, don’t worry about it.

The universe balances things out, since as you see, so many right wingers have apparently not yet discovered the word at all.

If it weren’t for stupid people voting, Republicans wouldn’t have won any elections.

    • granpa.usthai June 21st, 2014 at 03:44

Romney wouldn’t have even voted for himself.
