Dick And Liz Cheney Aim To ‘Restore American Power And Pre-Eminence’

Posted by | June 19, 2014 00:13 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

When I think of Dick and Liz, I’d prefer it be Burton/Taylor, but this duo will have to do for now.

Standing in front of a field because… well, something… the Cheneys declare that “the policies of the last six years have left America diminished and weakened” and not only have Obama’s policies made the world a more dangerous place, but he’s “repeatedly mislead the American people about the attacks in Benghazi and the true nature of the threat we face.”

The purpose of Alliance for a Strong America is, according to Liz Cheney, to “educate about and advocate for the policies needed to restore American power and pre-eminence,” and make sure that Americans are properly informed about* national security issues.

The worst attack on the continental United States since the War of 1812 occurred on your watch Mr. Cheney.

You have no moral authority to be lecturing anyone about anything related to American pre eminence.

In crossing party lines in 2004, Democrat Zell Miller spoke at the GOP convention.
Mr. Miller’s actual remarks can be found at the link below. In reading his speech, simply replace the word Democrats with Republicans and it dawns on you how right wingers don’t give a sh*t about tearing the nation apart and weakening the nation when they lose elections

    ==================================================================
Where are such statesmen today? Where is the bipartisanship in this country when we need it most? Now, while young Americans are dying in the sands of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan, our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrat’s manic obsession to bring down our Commander in Chief.

What is happening in Iraq right now is a result of our misguided invasion and the subsequent incompetence of the Bush administration.

Right wingers, you can trot out your asinine “Blame Bush” sarcasm to your heart’s content. Even before Mr. Bush left office, it was becoming clear that his administration had set in motion a chain of events which we now see unfolding, as this 2007 NY Times article explains.

Once again, the GOP demonstrates that the “party of personal responsibility” means that they are quite good at arguing that their f*ck up is someone else’s personal responsibility.

The dismantling of the Iraqi Army in the aftermath of the American invasion is now widely regarded as a mistake that stoked rebellion among hundreds of thousands of former Iraqi soldiers and made it more difficult to reduce sectarian bloodshed and attacks by insurgents. In releasing the letters, Mr. Bremer said he wanted to refute the suggestion in Mr. Bush’s comment that Mr. Bremer had acted to disband the army without the knowledge and concurrence of the White House.

I will be standing by as the Iraq war apologists figure out a way to blame Hilary and Biden for this too. I have every confidence that they will come up with some nonsensical bullsh*t which will be endlessly trumpeted on talk radio as if every word were an immutable law of physics.

So the draft dodger who lied us into a war, bombed a country into rubble, then awarded no bid contracts to his buddies to rebuild said country then shot his friend in the face on his off time is going to restore America eh?
    In a way he’s right.
Cheney has picked a perfect time to crawl out of his dumpster, open his mouth and remind Americans just why they voted for a Dem the last two times.

two pathetic scum lappers on screen – why is any one paying the least attention to the dick and his sidekick? They are irrelevant. The only positive from them is the giggle room here at LL – makes us all feel so f’n righteous.

As they say in Texas, this man is all hat and no cattle.
One wonders how this war criminal got to the top of the transplant list. A tragic waste of a perfectly good heart.

The comments posted are so informative, factual, and well coherent. The message from all of you points to a well informed group of citizens. Now go to a right wing blog and try to read the comments posted there. You can just feel the foam spewing out of their lie tellers. I don’t understand how they can just wake up all tightwad like then turn to fox and soak up the ignorant waves of hate like a tanner laying out on a black trampoline feigning for a Chance to be turned orange like their dear tea party bitch puppet that occupies the speaker of the house seat. It would be hilarious if it weren’t so freaking sad. They are fighting a losing battle as our nations history has proved time after time.
