Racist Conservatives Attack Malia Obama For Working On Halle Berry’s TV Show

The more things change, the more they get worse. Months into President Obama’s first term, the conservative web forum Free Republic made headlines when its community launched racist attacks on then-11 year-old Malia Obama for the deadly offense of wearing a peace sign t-shirt. Five years later, that impulse has not abated, and has spread to other conservative blogs like Breitbart and The Drudge Report, where one good Christian wondered if Malia is “old enough to send to Iraq” for the unforgivable sin of spending the day on the set of a TV show.

The internet has been abuzz over reports that Malia Obama spent a day on the set of Halle Berry’s new CBS show Extant last week, performing such glamorous tasks as getting coffee and keeping people from walking through the shot. Those reports were confirmed by Extant costar Camryn Manheim, who raved about President Obama’s “charming” daughter:

Conservative websites have become hip to the fact that, if they openly attack the President’s children, it will make them look like shit, so the new game is to post click-baity news with little or no commentary, then let the commenters go to town. For example, Breitbart posted a brief item, with no byline, and the passive-aggressive sub-headline “Malia Obama, the 15-year-old daughter of President Barack Obama, already landed a summer job.”

This was in addition to their wire service post carrying the exact same news, but without that little sweetener. Guess which one got flooded with comments, which began with, “That is one big pile of shit,” and went downhill from there…READ MORE

How do we know whether — and how many of — the offending comments were posted by racist conservatives as opposed to non-racist liberals posing as racist conservatives for the purpose of furnishing fodder for attacking the enemy?

    • arc99 June 18th, 2014 at 11:57

but we do know exactly how many of those right wing websites contained an update to the story from the publishers of these sites, condemning and/or deleting the bigoted remarks being posted in their forums.

      ZERO.

liberals do not have to pose as racists. right wingers need no assistance whatsoever in demonstrating their bigotry.

      • Pappy Beagles June 18th, 2014 at 12:08

because right wingers aren’t bigots, thats the bs made up by them special kind of stupid people called liberals.

        • arc99 June 18th, 2014 at 12:12

it takes a special kind of stupid to ignore reality as right wingers do. google John Derbyshire and learn to accept reality.

Right wingers aren’t bigots??? Bigotry is the defining characteristic of a right-wing conservative. The entire ideological edifice of conservatism has been built on a foundation of white supremacy. Racism is what conservatism is all about. Everything that conservatives believe in, their economic policy, their social policy, their foreign policy, it’s all at the service of perpetuating racism and discrimination. You can’t have one without the other.

    • fahvel June 18th, 2014 at 13:52

you are an ass – simple as that!

    • Bob Waas June 18th, 2014 at 17:41

Stop thinking logically. You offend those on this site who like to think they are the only people in the world who are not prejudice; which is why they accuse everyone else of being a racist or bigot.

      • arc99 June 18th, 2014 at 18:08

logic does not consist of making up unsubstantiated BS out of thin air.

      • Roctuna June 18th, 2014 at 18:09

That’s rich coming from you. We call it when we see it. Trouble is, it’s always so blatant and mostly the same people.

      • arc99 June 18th, 2014 at 18:15

I also cannot help but notice that the only point you decided to contribute to this thread was to engage in your usual bashing of people who disagree with you, but not a word of criticism for the vile garbage being directed at Malia Obama or the fact that the proprietors of these right wing sites so far have not posted a word of criticism.

Why then is it unfair to conclude that you personally consider blatant bigotry less offensive than being a liberal?

        • Bob Waas June 18th, 2014 at 20:32

No, it wasn’t my only post. I questioned the claim that a good Christian made the comment. I said if they were a good Christian they wouldn’t behave like that. Cyberquill’s question was reasonable and logical. Who knows the motive for bad behavior like those who said things about Malia.
I am often accused on this site for being a racist; which is baseless and impossible to prove because the accusers don’t have anyway to prove it and it is only based on there own hateful biases.
My family is a cross-section of America. Through birth, marriage and adoption we represent diversity at its finest. We have Christians, Jews, Atheist, agnostics, Japanese, Chinese, bi-racial, Mexican and a few white people. Oh, and a homosexual.
I don’t care for President Obama or his wife. Not because of the color of their skin, but their behavior. I see them as hypocritical phonies who think they are elitists. Regardless, I pray for them and their family often, especially their children who are sweet innocent kids.

          • Dwendt44 June 19th, 2014 at 00:46

Any and all people that move into the White House are treated like elitists, Doesn’t matter which party they represent. Other than you hatred for Obama, what behavior upsets you? I mean really? He’s certainly less arrogant than many of his critics not to mention some of his predecessors.

How about vacationing in Hawaii for Christmas, rather than at home so those who support him could spend time with their families too. Same thing with Fathers Day. How about returning from multi-million dollar vacations while preaching how we all must sacrifice so the less fortunate can get ahead. How about preaching about income inequality after attending a 31,000 a plate dinner? That is just for starters.

              • jasperjava June 19th, 2014 at 11:08

You’re going to criticise the President for vacationing in Hawai’i, for inconveniencing his staff???

If I were in the secret service, I would much prefer a vacation in Paradise, then having to swelter in a hole of a furnace like Crawford, Texas.

I guess you’re looking forward to going to Hell.

                • Bob Waas June 19th, 2014 at 17:09

I think the secret service would much prefer to spend Christmas with their families than anywhere else.

“George W. Bush spent Christmas in the White House. You know why? He got out of there after Christmas, went down to Crawford, but he spent Christmas in the White House so his Secret Service detail could stay at home in Washington and spend some time with their families. Now, he mighta hightailed it for Crawford on the 26th, but he spent Christmas in the White House. Obama, of course that’s not a concern, and he probably might be saying, “Secret Service, why, hell, family or Hawaii, who cares when, I’ll opt for Hawaii.” Who knows.

But Michelle (My Belle) and the kids couldn’t wait, just like they couldn’t wait four hours to accompany Obama to Martha’s Vineyard back in August. They left four hours early. And we had the story out of Oahu about how much this is costing. What is it, $4 million this whole thing is gonna cost, a hundred thousand dollars minimum a day, and that did not factor Michelle (My Belle) and the kids going early on their own plane before Obama takes his two 747s out there.”

You’re sending me to hell? Whatever happen to Purgatory?

                  Matthew 7:1-2

Boo Hoo. Sounds more like nit picking than a serious issue. Bush spent more time away from the White House than any president, ever. ‘Chipping Brush’? really? His care takers could do that. Name one politician that doesn’t attend fund raisers? Proxmire is dead, so don’t drag his name into this.

Remember, you right wingers are constantly ranting about how Muslims do not condemn terror with the implication that they all condone it..

Well consider it sauce for the goose, don’t hear any right wingers condemning what is being said about Malia Obama. The same kind of implication about condoning it applies as far as I am concerned.

What does it matter? She’s obviously anti war, so it stands to reason she doesn’t want to fight, The more relevent question would be, is this good Christian who DOES advocate war old enough to send to Iraq? How about his children or grandchildren?
