Alex Trebek Breaks Record

The 73-year-old Jeopardy host has cracked the Guinness record for the number of game shows hosted by the same presenter.

Alex Trebek has hosted 6,829 shows without a single sick day. The only time Trebek wasn’t on the show was in 1997 for April Fool’s Day. He and Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak switched places.

Trebek has been hosting “Jeopardy!” since its return to TV in 1984. Over that time, he has provided the answers to more than 416,000 questions.
