Republican Senator: Bergdahl Might Be Lying About Being Tortured

Posted by | June 9, 2014 00:26 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss isn’t sure Bowe Bergdahl was really tortured. He said on Face the Nation that he just be making the whole thing up.

…Chambliss…was asked about the reports that Sgt. Bergdahl is saying he was tortured. He answered, “I think there are going to be a lot of things that Bergdahl tells the Army and the medical folks that he is talking to now that are going to be very difficult to validate, but that’s not to say they’re not absolutely true, but we weren’t there. We have nobody who was on the inside, so we don’t know what happened in his life over the last several years, except we do that he was he was captured and he was in the Taliban’s hands for these number of years, so I just suspect that you’re going to have number one rumors coming out about what he me maybe saying, but then other actual statements that he may make that are going to be very difficult to validate, and again, that’s not to say they’re not true.”

Those criticising Bowe are acting like this is limbo contest, each one attempting to go lower than the last one.

Saxby Chambliss can go to hell as far as I am concerned. The question is why Republicans have felt the need to get out in front of this with deliberate misinformation. They haven’t even let Bowe Bergdahl give his side and they’ve already decided that they are going to defend the false narrative at all costs.

may your concerns be fulfilled in entirety.

Well maybe Bowe didn’t tell them let’s say maybe the doctors that are treating him can see signs of torture. Let’s just think about that Stupid.

    • granpa.usthai June 9th, 2014 at 10:06

He left that ‘remote’ possibility open, Darlene, but due to the alleged “conscience” that the Republican beings make false claims of having, he’d just as soon jump in with both feet, like the Occupational Liberation of Iraq – just in case Sgt. Bergdahl (who was in the hands of the Taliban -temporarily like unto the founding fathers again for this stint – several (5) years) could possibly maybe be making stuff up so the best thing to do is get the ‘Hawaiian’ out of the White House and if whatever they may have done was/is/will be wrong -sniff, sniff, croc tears, ask Jesus for forgiveness and presto bingo, it all becomes God’s perfect will, of which mere mortals such as the working peons without multi offshore bank accounts are STRENG VERBOTEN to question.
It’s all about the “presentation” – no substance required.

I believe what his platoon members are saying. You freaks go right on believing what your politicians feed you. I’ll listen to what the troops say. Your idol and lord obama just freed 5 top terrorists for a traitor. I guess the president knows all about traitors. He looks at one in the mirror.

take the rock out of your wondering eye – then, and only then, you may – only may – be able to see clearly – otherwise, shut up with the idiocy.

Typical braindead libtard believe only what politicians spoon feed you.

That’s EXACTLY what THEY say about you.

          Remember wmd???

When THAT war was planned in the the late 1990s???

you mean, Republican beings aren’t politicians like GWits?

    • Shades June 9th, 2014 at 07:43

So you believe the platoon member with the “less than honorable discharge.” Or the republican congressmen and women who were FOR the release before they were against it when they saw being against it got them brownie points with their crazy base, (like you). As for top five terrorists, where did you get that BS from? Faux News? If these five guys were of such great significance, why hadn’t they been charged? But you keep right on feeding at the looney buffet. It’s “All you can eat until you make an ass of yourself” day.

You freaks go right on believing what Fox news feeds you. Your so called “troops” include one other than honorable discharge and a platoon leader that wouldn’t confirm any of the allegations, no matter how Hannidy tried to goad him into doing so. Easily the most embarrassing interview I ever heard.

Funny how the nutjob says, he might be lying but it could be true, vs saying, he might be telling the truth but we need to investigate more. I think that’s called a “Tell.

OK, NOW I remember this guy. Evaded the draft during Viet Nam with student deferments and a “football injury”. In 2002 this pond scum swift boated Max Cleland by insinuating Max was soft on issues of war and national security in campaign ads Max Cleland is a Viet Nam vet that lost three limbs in combat. Even John McCain called Chambliss’s ads reprehensible.
No surprise here. Another right wing chickenhawk, panty waste draft dodger going after a real veteran.
I suppose it’s a therapeutic way to suppress their shame.

I was a Georgia resident when Saxby Chambliss ran his despicable smear campaign against Max Cleland, who was a great senator for Georgia. Cleland lost his limbs with one month left in his tour of duty. His helicopter landed during a mission and after jumping out he picked up a grenade he thought he’d dropped; it detonated and shredded his legs and arm. The grenade belonged to a comrade who had dropped it and had not secured the pin.

well now, we just don’t know for sure, so the best thing to do is call for POTUS Obama to be impeached before anything comes out, right WHITE Senator Saxby Chambliss (R) Georgia? (sorta like voting to jump into Iraq over possible WMDs with an endless Occupational Liberation).
