Virginia State Senator Richard Black wrote a letter to Syrian President Bashar Assid calling him “heroic.”

“I write to thank the Syrian Arab Army for its heroic rescue of Christians in the Qalamoun Mountain Range,” the letter begins…

“You have followed the practice of your father by treating with respect all Christians and the small community of Jews in Damascus,” Black wrote. “You defended their churches and the Jewish synagogue and you have permitted them to worship freely according to their beliefs. I am grateful for that…

“I pray that the Syrian armed forces will continue to exhibit extraordinary gallantry in the war against terrorists,” the letter read.

Having just returned from Lebanon and seeing the streets in Beirut and other cities teeming with Syrian refugees begging for food and money, it is obvious that Sen. Black is completely ignorant of what is going on over there. He, like most RWNJs, needs to get a clue. Assad is murdering tens of thousands of his own people.

Yes, the Syrian Christians do not matter to Alan, one might presume.

Meddling in Libya had much better effect, right, Alan?
