Snowden: ‘Ask The State Department Why I’m In Russia’

Edward Snowden says his stay in Russia was a “trap” by the U.S. State Department.

Snowden told NBC News anchor Brian Williams in an interview excerpt that aired Wednesday morning that he “never intended” to land in Russia and said he’s “personally surprised” that he wound up there.

“I had a flight booked to Cuba onwards to Latin America and I was stopped because the United States government decided to revoke my passport and trap me in Moscow Airport,” he said, as quoted by NBC. “So when people ask why are you in Russia, I say, ‘Please ask the State Department.”

In that case, he set his own trap. I’m not a fan of his.

He is more so the hero. We all know he speaks the truth on this subject. The U.S. revoked his passport, and they were getting European countries to board planes they suspected had him aboard, this is public knowledge. They left his passport valid till he left Hong Kong.

It’s not his trap. But look! He showed you that the USG has you and me in a trap.

I’m sure that if Russia and Cuba wanted to make arrangements for Edward they could do so without him having to have a valid US Passport. Does appear that his PRIVILEGED lifestyle provided by President Putin at the expense of the average hard working Russian People may be coming to an abrupt ending though. A lifestyle much more extravagant than any member of the Russian Military – or their family members no doubt.
