    No soliciting
    No loitering
    No guns

Many businesses, especially restaurants have long established guidelines for behavior on their premises. A policy against firearms is no difference.

That woman was very brave to approach the right-wing gun freak and tell him off. There’s no telling what these trigger-happy psychopaths could do.

    From the video:
    “I feel like I’m a kid again, I can’t do anything”.
That’s exactly what these people are. Little boys with small pen!ses who need to compensate for their inadequacies with their deadly toys.

I waiting for one of these idiots to accidentally shoot themselves. It’s inevitable that it will happen.

While I disagree with this idea of carrying long guns around in city centers – it comes from Texas not permitting CCW (concealed carry), THAT is what the “protest” is all about, for those that care to inform themselves.

I don’t think it’s a great :”tactic” for gun rights advocates to use…on the other hand, I don’t think “anti-firearm” folks do much better with dumb comments about male genitalia and incorrect statements that gun owners are necessarily “right wing gun freaks”.

Both extremes come off as childish, and I can see why your nation has become so divided. I suggest you look a little deeper, and you will find that it isn’t just “right wing…freaks” that enjoy the shooting sports. In fact, Gallup informs us that 35-40% of Democrats either own at least one firearm, or live with someone who does.

You might want to consider, a bit more carefully, the cost of allowing your party to give such a loud voice to anti-gun zealots like Dianne “I’ve already got MY gun” Glockstein…

Having firearms policy written by those that know little or nothing about the sport, is the liberal equivalent to letting bible-thumpers write the science textbooks.

    Oh yeah.

Again, I think I know why your country is becoming so divided.

Prancing around restaurants with rifles slung on your back has absolutely nothing to do with the sport.

No, it is, as I said, a demonstration of legal “open carry”, in a state that (somewhat oddly) prohibits CCW. In a nation where almost ALL other states but a small handful have some form of concealed carry allowed, it remains puzzling as to why Texas would stubbornly maintain a ban on it.

BTW, what. exactly, do you mean by “prancing”?

        • Foundryman May 27th, 2014 at 22:08

Not from this Country? Texas is well known as one of if not the most paranoid of all states . The reason they don’t have or want CCW is the fact it requires license and registration.

What exactly do you mean by “Glockstein”?

          • Yeah way May 27th, 2014 at 22:26

It’s my nickname for an anti-gun hypocrite- one that actually HAS a CCW…and reportedly owns a Glock.

And, no, I am not from the US – although I have lived and worked down there from time to time over the years.

Having said that, I am not particularly familiar with Texas law regarding carrying a firearm in public – only that the reason that these long gun owners give, is that they cannot legally carry a pistol….at least that’s what I have read on these youtube videos, and after a quick Google of their laws.

As I said, it’s not my idea of an effective way to have the law changed. Vermont has better laws, and I do not see “paranoia” playing any role there?
