Bridgeghazi Isn’t Christie’s Biggest Problem

It’s the economy, stupid! And it’s not looking good in Jersey.

Just as the New Jersey governor is trying to turn the corner on the traffic scandal and restore his national luster, now he’s getting blamed for a yawning budget deficit and recent downgrade of the state’s debt.

Christie and state lawmakers have less than two months to close a sudden budget hole. Analysts say the governor’s administration brought on the problem by projecting the state would collect much more in tax revenue than it did; Christie’s aides insist the Legislature and changes in federal tax laws bear some of the blame…

“Ultimately, governors live or die politically on the economic performance of their state,” said Mark McKinnon, a former strategist to George W. Bush. “If the economy gets much worse in New Jersey, Gov. Christie may want to close another bridge.”

California, formerly the whipping boy of the right, now has a balanced budget under a Democratic leadership. ….Just saying.

Yes let’s find out first how this came about, it seems as though you are eager to try and destroy an individual hell you have Gov. Brown in California why hell we used to have all kinds of manufacturing jobs in this state they have all but disappeared why is that and Democrats have a tendency to use funny math when it comes to the deficit, you gone after Chris Christie because he has a deficit, why hell haven’t you realize that our president is running a deficit of over $7 trillion in six years why is this acceptable with unemployment still very high and wants the Democrats pass the pay increase this should increase unemployment greatly, I’m not an economist but I know companies like Paco Bell, Burger King, and all the other fast food restaurants especially those in small communities yes and you’re going after Chris Christie for you guys are pathetic

Governor Brown has managed to balance the state budget. Something several Republicans couldn’t do.

“you gone after Chris Christie because he has a deficit, why hell haven’t you realize that our president is running a deficit of over $7 trillion in six years why is this acceptable with”….

      Ha Ha Ha.

So lets review. It’s Obamas fault that he inherited a collapsed economy, and carries a deficit, but the economic woes in NJ are NOT Christies fault because of Sandy. You dismiss California’s fiscal health under Democratic leadership…. After all California doesn’t have any disasters right? No wildfires mudslides or draught right?

“I’m not an economist but I know companies like Paco Bell, Burger King,

      “….
So? um is Paco bell just a west coast thing?

you not able to link the so-called bridge gate to Chris Christie so now you’re trying to blame him for deficit in his state, even though they’ve had the worst natural disaster in their history. Who is the idiot that wrote this article was it Alan Comes I mean after all we know who’s asses he wipes

We haven’t tied Christie to the bridge debacle YET, but stay tuned, as there isn’t anyone else above Bridget Anne Kelly that COULD have ordered the closing. Time will tell, and it’s isn’t looking good for he big guy.
As far as the budget goes, it’s Christie’s budget. He wanted big tax cuts for the rich and special deals for his campaign contributors. The state’s credit rating has been downgraded 6 times, tied for the record. ALL on his watch. The feds have nothing to do with it. It’s a state law that the books have to balance, as with many states, and those that are headed by Republicans are running in the red due to the same mismanagement.
