How To Manage Expectations For Your Rally To Overthrow The American Government

Harry Riley believes that between 10 and 30 million people will show up Friday to overthrow the U.S. government with is Operation American Spring.  Here is a guide for Colonel Riley to manage his expectations.

Learn from the Examples of Others

Had Riley based his estimate on anything other than, we presume, the numbers he’d like to see in the papers, he’d know that promises to send We the People to the door of American power rarely meet lofty turnout estimates. Last October, “10,000” truckers were reportedly on their way to literally clog the Beltway and shut down traffic in protest of Washington politics. In reality, about 30 truckers showed up, and they caused no delays worth mentioning…

Glenn Beck famously estimated that his 2010 “Restoring Honor” rally would draw 300,000 people to the Lincoln Memorial. While still an indisputably enormous event, Beck had a crowd of about 87,000 people instead, based on the most generous of reliable estimates.

So, 30 million may be a bit high. This is especially true given that, even though President Obama has high disapproval numbers, that doesn’t mean people want him overthrown. Most of America actually believes in our form of Democracy.

might be raining in DC on Friday, Anomaly. Egypt weren’t overthrown in no rainstorm, it’s purt near impossible to overthrow a government in a rainstorm cause the surrender papers will get all wet, and the ink will run all over the documents. Too bad there won’t be a national museum to harbor the paperwork in though.

Something fun on a Friday – there will be maybe a dozen of them. The rest of them will get lost trying to find D.C.

I expect that there’ll be about 300 people in DC, of which about 30 will be legitimate protesters and the other 270 will be media (about 150 of those being Fox News reporters)… and another 500 will show up in Seattle, instead.

I’m sure the people over at the fair and balanced network have already dubbed into their coverage some old well attended rally to represent this one. (They have experience).

      Hey!

There’s a female tinkling candydate that the GOPs could use to lose in 2016.

-just don’t try to drag the overthrow of the US Government past lunch time. Usually 12 o’clock on Fridays is when the week-end tourist start coming in, which makes downtown traffic a mess.
