Meet Sarah Palin’s Ghostwriter, Who Questions Her Selection As VP Pick

Lynn Vincent is a ghostwriter of mostly Christian books, profiled in The New Yorker. “Vincent’s most well-known book is Going Rogue, which she ghostwrote for Sarah Palin, but she’s also written best-selling books, like Heaven Is For Real and Same Kind of Different as Me, that are centered on explicitly Christian themes.”

Vincent questions whether choosing her client as John McCain’s running mate was such a good idea: “Whatever anyone’s opinion of her faults and failings, to tap someone to be a Veep candidate a few days before the Convention was really not the best plan.” It appears as though Vincent’s experience with Palin left a bad taste in her mouth.

Vincent, who is prevented by a non-disclosure agreement from discussing her collaboration with the former Alaska governor, is thanked on the second page of the book’s acknowledgements for “her indispensible help in getting words on paper.”

This appears not to have gone down well with Vincent.

“With Sarah Palin, it was, like, ‘Thanks, Lynn Vincent, for taking out the trash,'” she said.
