Saying things politically that are not in the best interest of most Americans can be high risk when running a campaign.  A war can be high risk.  But going on The View? On the Donor Tapes, Romney said that would be a “high risk” move.

Romney said he nixed an appearance on “SNL”:

“I did not do that in part because you want to show that you are fun and a good person, but you also want to be presidential,” he told the assembled donors. “Saturday Night Live has the potential of looking slapstick, and not presidential. But ‘The View’ is fine. Although ‘The View’ is high risk because of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative,” he added.
