For a person who complains when he is attacked and says it could be all about the issues, one would think Mitt Romney would not refer to the president as “corrupt,” but that’s just what he did while speaking to the VFW when he said, “A healthy American economy is what underwrites American power.  When growth is missing, government revenues fall, social spending rises, and many in Washington look to cut defense spending as an easy way out. That includes our corrupt president.” The Las Vegas Sun reports he meant to say “current president.”

Romney also accused the president on Israel of  “shabby treatment of one of our finest friends,” of  favoring a “politically timed” retreat in Afghanistan, “which could lead to more war and “attacks here at home,” and mocked the president for congratulating Vladimir Putin when he won the Russian presidency “in a corrupt election.”
