Transsexual Disqualified From Miss Universe Canada Contest

Jenna Talackova has been a woman since the age of 4, but the beauty contest officials says she doesn’t qualify because she is not a “natural born” female.

Talackova, 23, started hormone therapy at age 14 and underwent gender reassignment surgery at the age of 19. And although she checked off “female” on her entry form, the organization questioned her natural-born sex, which resulted in her removal from the competition.
