Florida And Beyond

The polls show a clear favorite for today’s primary in Florida and the only highlight of the night will be to see how angry Speaker Gingrich is in his concession speech.  Predictions for today and beyond:

  • Romney 43 Gingrich 28 Santorum 18 Paul 11
  • The next few days will be filled with coverage of whether Senator Santorum will drop out.  After saying he won’t tonight, I think he will drop out later this week.
  • While the February contests do have risks for Romney, it is conceivable that he will run the table.  Paul will push him in Maine and Colorado and his immigration positions will hurt him in Arizona but I could see him going into Super Tuesday trying to wrap things up.
  • Unfortunately for President Obama, there are no debates for the next three weeks.
