Michigan Congressman Thaddeus McCotter
is going to announce he is seeking the Republican nomination for president July 2. McCotter is thus far known for defending Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusoni against charges he was involved with underage prostitutes
while strumming “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” on a guitar. McCotter
also stood up for former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and warned that we shouldn’t interpret unrest in Egypt as a call for democracy. McCotter also
wanted a bill to declare that President Obama should apologize to the Cambridge, MA police after his comments on the Professor Henry Louis Gates incident.
