Rep. Mike Pence States Goal: “Victory For The Republican People” (Versus The “American” People?)

Congressman Mike Pence of Indiana let slip what the true goal of his caucus is, and it’s more about political party than about country. Pence tried to correct himself, unsuccessfully when asked by Greta Van Susteren if the two sides are checkmating.

PENCE: Well, I don’t know if we’re checkmating. But we’re trying — we’re trying to score a victory for the Republican people, for — for the American — for the Republican people — trying to score a victory for the American people, not for the Republican Party. That victory is going to come in stages here.
