Donald Trump is going to shake hands in Iowa and campaign there to see how he might do in the caucuses, claiming, “I will meet many, many people – maybe all of the people” in Iowa. “If I decide to run, I will be shaking hands with everybody.” But don’t expect The Donald to get his hands too dirty.

In a Politico piece, Roger Stone said Trump would not need to endure the rigors of a typical candidate campaigning hard in Iowa: “He’s Donald Trump. There’s a public fascination. So I don’t think he has to go shake hands among the pig farmers.”

Just what Iowans want to hear! But Trump says, “Roger doesn’t represent me!” when it comes to that statement. Trump is conservative on social issues, but doesn’t think being married three times will hurt him, explaining, “But one of the reasons I was divorced is because I worked very hard,” he said. “And, you know, that’s a good reason. But I worked very, very hard building up a great company. And it’s a great company.”

Trump offered that he opposes abortion rights and supports Second Amendment rights to bear firearms. Asked whether he supports allowing same-sex couples to marry, Trump said no….

“They should not be able to marry,” he said. But asked whether gay couples should be able access the same benefits as married couples, he said his “attitude on it has not been fully formed.”

Given a second to think, Trump said on marriage and civil benefits, “As of this moment, I would say no and no.”
