Georgia Lawmaker Says Immigrants Crossing Border Should Be Shot; Compares Them To Hitler

Georgia state Rep. John Yates says troops on the border should “shoot to kill” illegal immigrants crossing the border, and he stood by those comments in an interview on Atlanta’s Fox 5. (h/t Think Progress)

Yates likened illegal immigrants to enemies of the country.

“Stopping Hitler was worth the price,” Yates said. “It’s our border, they’re invading us.”
