Debt From Alleged Waste In Stimulus 488 Times Smaller Than That From Bush Tax Cuts

Republicans seem to forget that their beloved tax cuts result in increasing deficits, until they’re rudely reminded, as House Minority Whip Eric Cantor was.  While Senators Tom Coburn and John McCain are busy complaining that President Obama is stealing money from our kids and grandkids because of alleged waste in the stimulus package, they ignore that the portion of the stimulus that they’re complaining about put us in the hole for $1.7 billion, while the ten-year cost of extending George W. Bush’s tax cuts is $830 billion. (h/t Think Progress)
