Evangelical pastor Ed Dobson devoted a year of his life to emulating Jesus’ life and teaching. He chronicled it in the book The Year of Living Like Jesus: My Journey of Discovering What Jesus Would Really Do.
Why did he do it? Dobsen responded, “As I read the gospels, I decided – maybe I should try to obey them.”
Maybe conservatives who refer to themselves as “good Christians” should try this experiment as well.
But they probably won’t.
Why won’t they?
Because if they lived like Jesus for a year, they’d become Democrats.
