Lieberman In 2006: “I Can Do More For You And Your Families…To Get Universal Health Insurance.”

Joe Lieberman made a campaign promise when he battled Ned Lamont for the Democratic nomination in the 2006 Connecticut senate race.  Video is here.

And what I’m saying to the people of Connecticut, I can do more for you and your families to get something done to make health care affordable, to get universal health insurance, to make America energy independent, to save your jobs and create new ones. That’s what the Democratic Party is all about.

But now that it’s time to commit, Lieberman is singing a different tune.
