If Your Name Is Preceded By “Disgraced Former,” Become A Talk Show Host

Michael Hood at Blather Watch reports that former sexcapader Mark Foley may have found a home on Talk Radio.  WSVU in Palm Beach will present “Inside the Mind of Mark Foley” which “will expose the inner workings of Washington DC.

Foley is the formerly closeted gay Republican who spectacularly, and conveniently (for Democrats) exploded his public life just before the 2006 elections.

The veteran congressman was caught having sent skeezy instant sexual messages and photos of his self-described “handsome penis” in unsolicited emails to teenage boys who’d been House pages. There was more, but Republicans got him out of the way before allegations could bear fruit, so to speak.

His demise was particularly delicious to partisan observers because he had a long record of opposing gay rights.

After leaving Congress, Foley got into Palm Beach real estate, came out of the closet, and, as of 2007, was in a relationship with a nice Palm Beach dermatologist.

And I am so proud to be a colleague in such an honorable profession.
