Birthers Think They Found Obama’s Kenyan Birth Certificate

Orly Taitz, the attorney/dentist who spends most her time filing lawsuits hoping to show that Obama isn’t eligible to be president, has released what she claims is a certification of Obama’s birth from Kenya. The document is alleged to be a certified copy of the original certificate, issued on February 17, 1964 by “Coast Province, Republic of Kenya.”

The problem with this is that despite claims to the contrary, Kenya did not become a Republic until Midnight, December 12, 1964.  Furthermore, this is not an original birth certificate. Taitz and her fellow birthers keep demanding an original birth certificate, not accepting Hawaii’s “Certificate of Live Birth.”  Yet they have only produced a later document that is, to be extremely kind, of questionable veracity.
