GOP Blaming Obama For Iranian Election Results

Former Pentagon advisor Richard Perle says Obama is to blame for Ahmadinejad’s power grab, and Center for Security Policy head Frank Gaffney says Iranian election results are because “they have been emboldened by our weakness.” And you can tell which politicians are interested in taking on Obama in 2012 by how strident their rhetoric is.  Mitt Romney claimed on ABC’s “This Week” that the fraudulent Iranian election was proof that Obama’s policies aren’t working. It’s very clear that the president’s policies of going around the world and apologizing for America aren’t working. … Look, just sweet talk and criticizing America is not going to enhance freedom in the world.

 

But when George Stephanopoulos points out that the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanese elections, Romney ducks the issue.
