Joe Lieberman Once Vowed To Help Elect A Democratic President In 2008

Joe Lieberman met with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to discuss whether he will continue to caucus with Democrats.  They say nothing was decided, and there will be more discussions.  Let’s not forget that when Lieberman was in a tough primary battle with Ned Lamont to win the Democratic nomination for Senate and retain his seat, he said:

“I want Democrats to back in the majority in Washington and elect a Democratic president in 2008.  This man [Ned Lamont] and his supporters will frustrate and defeat our hopes of doing this.”
