McCain Second In Line of GOP Pres Candidates Who Aspires To Be A Dictator

Speaking to the Des Moines Register, John McCain may have been joking when he commented on Congress’ failure to act on a bail-out plan by saying. “I’m not saying this is the perfect answer. If I were dictator, which I always aspire to be, I would write it a little bit differently.”

At least when George W. Bush made a similar comment in December of 2000, he was laughing about it.

By the time W said it during a Business Week interview in July, 2001 he was still smiling, slightly.
