They Attack Because They Can

So the McCain camp puts out one commercial blasting Obama for choosing Biden because Biden was critical of Obama

The ad begins with a clip from a debate in August 2007. Biden listens to the moderator read back his quote attacking Obama’s level of experience-as Obama stands right next to Biden on the stage.

“I think I stand by that statement,” Biden said in response. The camera then cuts to Obama. With a steely look on his face and his chin raised, Obama closes his eyes slowly at Biden’s comment.

But wait, it gets better. The next clip is Biden being interviewed on The Daily Show where he says, “I would be honored to run with or against John McCain, because I think the country would be better off.”

and another ad saying he didn’t take Hillary because she was too critical of him.

“She won millions of votes but isn’t on the ticket. Why? For speaking the truth,” says the ad, which also shows Clinton criticizing Obama during their protracted battle for the Democratic presidential nomination.

They criticize the Biden pick because they say it highlights Obama’s lack of experience. Yet they praised Bush for choosing Cheney because of his gravitas.
