Clinton Was Not Snubbed

Divide and conquer is how the Republicans like to play it.  Spread the idea that Democrats are at war and it’s the Clintons Vs. the Obamas.  David Axelrod, Obama’s chief strategist, put to rest the idea that such a divide exists and that Clinton was kept out of the VP loop.

“I can tell you, the first person that [Obama] sat down and talked to at all about this vice presidential issue was Sen. Clinton. They had a discussion back in early June about it, and he spent more time with Sen. Clinton alone, talking about issues, than he has with Joe Biden or anyone else in the last couple of months. So, that’s simply not true,” Axelrod explained in an exclusive interview on “This Week With George Stephanopoulos.”

But that hasn’t stopped the McCain campaign from putting out an ad questioning why Obama didn’t choose Hillary.

Of course, there would have been an ad questioning why he did pick Hillary, had that been the ticket.
