Would We Be Better Off With A Parliamentary Government?

Jay Diamond and I were just discussing on the radio show how, if we weren’t so beholden to the two party system, if we had the British or Israeli model, the incompetents now running things would have been gone after the Downing Street Memo surfaced. Or sooner. With a two party system, the only way in is with big money and the blessing of a few kingmakers. Running around Iowa and New Hampshire for years to win a few votes that supposedly determines so much (but doesn’t necessarily) is insane. Running for president is like pledging a fraternity. And I always thought pledging fraternities was stupid.
