Huh? Second Kellyanne ‘Bowling Green massacre’ claim!

Kellyanne Conway’s ridiculous claim about the nonexistent “Bowling Green Massacre’ last Thursday on MSNBC’s Hardball has become a subject not only of derision but serious concern the Trump White House® using propaganda and lies to drive their agenda.

Well, it turns out that the Hardball moment was not the first time Kellyanne mentioned the fictional tragedy:

During a phone interview conducted with Cosmopolitan on Jan. 29, Conway wrongly claimed that President Obama had called for a “ban on Iraqi refugees” (he only increased the number of background checks) and argued that “he did that for exactly the same reasons. He did that because two Iraqi nationals came to this country, joined ISIS, traveled back to the Middle East to get trained and refine their terrorism skills and come back here and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre of taking innocent soldiers’ lives away.”

Mohanad Shareef Hammadi and Waad Ramadan Alwan were arrested in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2011 for “using improvised explosive devices (IEDs) against U.S. soldiers in Iraq” as well as trying “to send weapons and money to al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) for the purpose of killing U.S. soldiers” fighting overseas.

There is no evidence that they ever took any American lives on American soil.

Conway’s dishonest claim about a massacre in Bowling Green, Kentucky first attracted attention when she made it on MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews” on Thursday night.

Just another attempt at throwing a phrase out there and hoping it sticks, particularly within the minds of people who cannot think of their own catchy phrases. This one backfired, unfortunately others have not.

I’m pretty sure someone reputable said that Conway burbled about Bowling Green in TWO print interviews.

not for giving kellyanne any credible voice, but I do remember in a Bond James Bond movie where they used poison gas or something that knocked a lot of people out in Kentucky. Maybe they could add that to the DVD of ponme for a double movie kinda thing?

Goldfinger. That scene was filmed at Fort Knox and one of my HS teachers was among the thousands ‘killed’. He was a Corporal in the Army at the time and everyone on base was expected to participate. He said the hardest part was getting everyone to fall down at the same time.
