Trump called Putin’s invasion of Ukraine ‘so smart’

Trump praised Vladimir Putin for going into Ukraine and taking over Crimea “so smart” in 2014.

“Well, he’s done an amazing job of taking the mantle,” Trump said of Russian president Vladimir Putin in an interview with Fox News’ Eric Bolling. “And he’s taken it away from the president, and you look at what he’s doing. And so smart. When you see the riots in a country because they’re hurting the Russians, okay, ‘We’ll go and take it over.’ And he really goes step by step by step, and you have to give him a lot of credit.”

“Interestingly, I own the Miss Universe pageant,” Trump added. “We just left Moscow. He could not have been nicer. He was so nice and so everything. But you have to give him credit that what he’s doing for that country in terms of their world prestige is very strong.”

Has he ever had a complete thought on anything? When was the last time this guy had a positive story about his campaign come out? This egomaniac is destroying his own future endeavors and I find it hard not to enjoy watching this.

Why should anyone care about DT’s future? He’s done this to himself. He gets what he deserves…

Once again, Trump demonstrates the extent to which he idolizes (and hopes to emulate) despotic government leaders from around the world, both past and present.

Earlier this year, Mikhail Gorbachev said the same thing about Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

“Gorbachev, 85, has repeatedly commended the 2014 annexation of the peninsula,
which houses a large Russian naval base. On Sunday, he told Britain’s Sunday
Times he would have acted the same way as President Vladimir Putin in a similar situation. However, the 1990 Nobel Peace Prize winner has warned of potentially dire consequences if tensions are not reduced over the Ukraine crisis. He has also been critical of Putin on domestic issues.”
