Ryan: Fundraising off sit-in ‘shameful.’ How about condemning fundraising off tragedy

Posted by | June 27, 2016 16:54 | Filed under: Politics

Paul Ryan is outraged that Democrats fundraised off their sit-in for gun legislation. How about being outraged that the NRA fundraises off mass shootings and terrorism by telling Americans they’re unsafe.

The fact that Democrats were fundraising off their sit-in was “shameful,” Ryan said. And he’s repeatedly pointed out that Democrats were blatantly violating House rules by snapping photos of taking video of the nearly 26-hour protest from inside the chamber.

Some of Ryan’s GOP colleagues are now calling for a vote to censure Democrats who broke House rules, arguing that photographing and filming from all angles on the floor jeopardizes national security and the lives of members of Congress. Terrorists could study the images to help them prepare for a possible attack on the Capitol, they argue.

What about Republicans fundraising from repeated attempts to repeal the ACA … or to defund Planned Parenthood … or Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi?

Projection…that is all the Republican Party has…they used to be a credible opposition party with ideas, and sometimes a workable idea…they are reduced to cheating and lying…because they have no real idea of how to govern…they have damaged our Nation to a point that our real enemies have been emboldened by the show of weakness from the right…

    Terrorists?
    REALLY?!?!?
God, it’s like an episode of SNL, only somehow less funny…

Terrorists? Everybody knows where the capitol is. Drive a car west on East Capitol St and you will hit the damn building. You can take a tour, bring your Iphone and get all the photos you want, pretending they are selfies. Unfortunately there is no shortage of perfectly legal activities which could be exploited by someone looking to do us harm. The sit-in has impacted security about as much as the D6 MetroBus that takes you to within a block or two of Capitol Hill.

So the Republican fundraiser held right after didn’t just ask for money, they gave away the same weapon used in the massacre…
    Pretty sure that’s worse…
