Alleged killer of U.K. politician influenced by U.S. Neo-Nazis

Thomas Mair was a long-time supporter of a U.S. Neo-Nazi group.

The Southern Poverty Law Center reports. The 53-year-old bought $620 in books from the National Alliance, according to documents obtained by the SPLC.

On its website, the N.A. says, “We believe that no multi-racial society can be a truly healthy society, and no government which is not wholly responsible to a single racial entity can be a good government.”

Mair reportedly brought weapon-making tutorials from the N.A.’s publishing arm, National Vanguard Books: Chemistry of Powder & Explosives, Incendiaries, and Improvised Munitions Handbook. That last title includes instructions for how to make ammunition for a .38-caliber pistol. He also purchased, Ich Kampfe (I Fight), a handbook for new members of the original Nazi Party.

Cox, elected to Parliament in 2015, was stabbed, shot, and killed on Thursday in the town of Birstall, near the city of Leeds. She was an advocate for Syrian refugees seeking entry into the U.K. Local authorities arrested Mair in connection to her death.

By US standards, does this mean the UK can now ban entry and deport all Americans? Tit-for-Tat I believe they call it.

              Agreed!

So here are the plans for tonight.

100 mile motorcycle ride to Milwaukee from Chicago.

Four stops at bars we know for Rum and Cokes. ICE COLD RUM AND COKES.

Visit a motorcycle “club” we know.

More Rum and Cokes. ICE COLD!

Ain’t it funny how the night moves??

When you just don’t seem to have as much to lose.

                  Strange how the night moves!

Bob Seger.. from the song Night Moves.

I awoke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off I sat and wondered
Started humming a song from 1962
Ain’t it funny how the night moves
When you just don’t seem to have as much to lose
                      Strange how the night moves
                      With autumn closing in

Good lyrics. I used to listen to Bob Seeger, in the eighties, liked him a lot.

Trump kept a book of his speeches on his nightstand according to one of his ex-wives.

      • Gina Bousquet June 17th, 2016 at 15:37

Yes, he would! I remember reading about it.

        • mistlesuede June 17th, 2016 at 15:39

He is awfully similar to him and it is so frightening.

          • Gina Bousquet June 17th, 2016 at 16:06

It is dangerous, no doubt, even hard to believe he’s achieved such prominence, base support and the candidacy! The world is astounded I’m sure. Stopping him is THE Democratic mission.

            • mistlesuede June 17th, 2016 at 16:14

              All hands on deck now!
The media allowed this to happen. They did nothing to vet him or report on him. They were so thrilled with their ratings because everyone tuned in to see the car wreck. Now some outlets are trying to reel it in, but not nearly enough. And if he doesn’t like your coverage, he removes you from following his campaign so that you can’t show or report on what he is doing. It is really shocking to see the Americans who do support him.
I think other than Canadians who are able to access our media and the public easily, the rest of the world must be in shock. Our Canadian neighbors understand this is not what the majority of citizens want for a POTUS and share our horror.

What are the Brits going to do about this terrorist?

    • Gina Bousquet June 17th, 2016 at 17:03

      Incarcerate him. After trial.

Is this that elusive American Exceptionalism I keep hearing about?
