What she’s telling me is that she may understand the meaning of the Second Amendment, which is even scarier, because the Second Amendment is meant to tell people like her that might be thinking about going off in a tyrannical direction: ‘Don’t even think about it.’ Because the Second Amendment has recognized the right people have to possess the kind of firearms that your protectors have, Mrs. Clinton, and if you even think, if you even try to go off in a tyrannical direction, the Constitution protects the people’s right to protect the people themselves against people like you.

Mr. Pratt, that same Constitution also protects the 2nd amendment rights of people like me who detest everything you stand for. So go ahead. Make my day. Try to use violence to erase the results of a lawful election.
Of all of the ignorant misconceptions infesting the right wing, the one I find most amusing is their notion that liberals and leftists do not own firearms. Yes we do Mr. Pratt and in a worst case scenario, it is far more likely that my firearm will be pointed at people like you, not President H. Clinton.

They keep trying to say that a candidate with armed Secret Service protection is hypocritical by supporting sensible gun legislation. As if any candidate or president has a choice to not have an armed guard at all times. The gun lobby is single-minded, the same way PETA is, and no other issue even exists.

hey, the people created an royal class called politicians. Rather than pols being servants of the people, they have become nobility and just their existence is rather costly. Never mind that the word politician is a synonymy with dishonest, narcissistic etc. They few who a real and kind and caring get dumped.

Umm, no. The 2nd Amendment is to maintain the security of a free state. It does not exist to maintain the free state itself. Because militias, and the founders did not want a standing army.
I would personally be a-okay with letting people maintain their own weapons. But if you’re going to do so, I should have reasonable assurances that you know what the hell you’re doing.
