Ex-GOP county chair charged in 3 states with child molestation

Gotta watch out for those “family values” folks.

The former chairman of the Cobb County Republican Party was arrested Friday morning and charged with child molestation, according to police.

Joseph Russell Dendy, 71, was arrested at his West Cobb home and charged with aggravated child molestation and child molestation, both felonies. He was being held at the Cobb jail without bond Saturday.

Later Friday, an additional charge was added: fugitive. Dendy is also wanted by the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan, as well as the Laurens Police Department in South Carolina on additional sexual abuse allegations, Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb police said late Friday.

        I believe that all of the noise being made a about LGBTQ and transgendered Americans today is meant to distract from the fact that those in the GOP/TP know they have persons in their party who have committed, and commit sex crimes. They have to know because of Foley, Gingrich, Vitter, Craig, Livingston,
        Ensign, Josh Duggar, Hastert , and others whose behind the scenes sexual behavior has come
        to light over the years. No matter how many times they scream that they’re the party of family values, evidence keeps emerging that shows that they’re just like everyone else—flawed in some way.

            I was taught God was a loving God (other than the flood lol) and an accepting God. I was told if I repent for my sins, I will be forgiven. The right has perverted the teachings of Jesus, I could never imagine putting myself above other groups simply because of my beliefs or skin color. These people do not have the ability to empathize and that makes them broken to me.

                That is similar to my belief. I hope there is more, I don’t want it to end here, but I believe we keep coming back until we have perfected our souls. Of course “perfect” is subjective, I haven’t worked out the kinks yet lol.

      Oh, they know better, bpollen, but since they lost the same-sex marriage fight, they have to have something else to complain about. What I’m failing to understand is that if transgenders using the “wrong” public bathroom has been a problem for a long time, why have they waited so long to say/do anything about it? THIS is what informs me that this is another right-wing manufactured crisis.

    I live in GA, and although it’s sad to say, Dendy will have lots of supporters who will claim that he’s an “honorable, Christian, Family Values” guy because he’s a GOP/TPer. In the minds of many here, GOP/TPers can do no wrong and millions have been spent pushing this vile piece of propaganda.

    We need a scorecard for all of these arrests. Something that can easily be posted, mailed, or distributed. Every time the transgender bathroom argument comes up it should immediately be countered by “the list”.
