Ecosexuals

Posted by | May 11, 2016 16:22 | Filed under: Planet

They talk dirty to plants.

The “Ecosexual Bathhouse” is in the tangles of the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens, created by Ian Sinclair and Loren Kronemyer.

Ecosexuals have fantasies about nature and use their senses of touch to strengthen their romantic and sensual feelings towards the environment.

The whole idea is if somebody can develop sexual attraction and a love for the biosphere, they will in turn look after it going into the future — it’s said to be a type of activism.

we used to call that “communing with nature”…nothing like a few bug bites to go along with a few love bites…

But when the hippies were “communing with nature” I don’t think they were literally getting their rocks off. This is just weird.

    Ooh, what a lovely plant!
    I have to say, I’m really… frond …of you.

What a gneiss thing to say!

So cuckoo it sounds like a Republican idea… But too daring for their book!

I think it is strange that they would need a place set aside in a park, when I am sure there must be plenty of areas in Australia where people can get away in nature and do what comes naturally (see my post, above).

That’s not the idea conveyed by the article. What’s cuckoo about it is that the sexual feelings are for the biosphere, not the partner, it seems. :)

That is strange……I love nature, but a lady gets all my attention……these days, most people seem to be afraid of going in the woods….

          • Gina Bousquet May 12th, 2016 at 19:21

            I believe so… :)

It makes me wonder if in the future people will actually engage in the act, or whether they’ll just email a code or something to their partner, who will contribute their own code and both will be sent somewhere for breeding and the couple will later go pick up their new baby at the drive-up window….

                Lovemaking will never end. :)

You melt me like candle wax.
I am booked on the next flight to Rio…..

Lol Well, it was a simple comment… :)

It shows how far we have come that sex in the great outdoors is considered unusual or strange.
To me it just seems natural, but have had partners who go, “What? You want to do it out here? as if you need to be indoors or something.
One of the things I like about summer is the opportunity to have sex outside at night under the stars. Bonus when there’s a meteor shower.

A lot of people nowadays are apprehensive about being in nature. Even when many do go out somewhere, they need a paved path to walk on.
Me, I feel at home in the woods. I like taking walks through a nice section of forest. You may have heard of Sweet Briar College, a women’s school that was nearly closed last year. One of the cool things about that school is it has a stand of old-growth forest on campus. Forests can vary significantly and I find them fascinating.
I enjoy taking people out in the woods. Initially, all they notice are the trees and maybe a squirrel or two or a few birds. But forests have all kinds of things happening on many levels. There is activity in the trees, soil, air, underbrush, etc. It just takes someone like me to point these things out and describe how various societies are behaving and interacting all the time. There’s always something new to learn, especially if one keeps returning to a stretch of woods over time and sees how things are changing, naturally.
I find nature stunningly beautiful and therefore sex in the outdoors appropriate and natural…

I agree but it also gives new meaning to the expression, “ants in the pants”.

        or,
“No, honey, I said look at this tick…..tick, with a ‘t’…”

…It’s not nice to fool (with) Mother nature… ;)
