Moderates and reformers win in Iran elections

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s moderate and reformist allies won all of Tehran’s 30 parliamentary seats in elections, with 90 percent of votes counted so far, Agence France-Presse reported Sunday, citing state television.           Did you see Tulsi Gabbard quit her position at the DNC and endorsed Sanders? What a shock. NOT. She is so anti-Obama in her remarks, she fits right with him. I think she has PTSD or just a need to be in the headlines.

    This is very heartening news, indeed. Of course all our differences and problems with Iran aren’t going to vanish overnight because of this election result, but it shows that both countries talking to each other like adults is the more rational effective approach over blustering for war. President Obama will be remembered as a visionary president because of this. Does anybody doubt that the nuclear deal that lifted sanction for Iran made the victories possible for Rouhani’s party yesterday? I don’t, not for a second! Here’s to detente!
