Kim Davis: Me Meeting Pope Will Inspire Others To Break The Law

Posted by | December 30, 2015 16:37 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Religion

Kim Davis is using her meeting with the Pope (which the Vatican was clear about it not being an endorsement) to promote ignoring the law (also known as breaking the law).

Davis said in an interview earlier this month with Catholic TV network EWTN reporter Catherine Szeltner that the meeting with Pope Francis was important to every person who “lives and loves God.”

“The stand I took affects every church, every person that lives and loves God, that holds the word of God precious and dear and intimate in their lives,” Davis explained. “I’m just the first of what’s going to be very many. You can rest assured of that. And it’s not if it happens, it’ll be when it happens. And maybe my stand will encourage others who will be in the same position.”

The Vatican sought to downplay the October meeting, saying in a statement that the pope didn’t even know who Kim Davis was. “The Pope did not enter into the details of the situation of Mrs. Davis and his meeting with her should not be considered a form of support of her position in all of its particular and complex aspects,” a Vatican spokesman explained.

They claim to love god, and yet they use that to try to prevent others who also may love god from being able to live with someone they love, simply because they don’t like the fact that they are gay, and love someone of the same gender, and they think their god also hates their gayness, even though the fact that these people get married doesn’t affect them THE LEAST LITTLE BIT. Does that about sum it up? In so many ways, religion defies logic.

I suggest anybody following her advice to pray for a good lawyer or a carry a get out of jail card.

We have an Apostolic Christian in our coffee club. She says that they do not recognize the pope as the “word of god”, in fact some denominations condemn him as a fraud.

    • Larry Schmitt December 30th, 2015 at 17:33

Protestants have always had a problem with the Pope. The only ones who are required to take his pronouncements seriously are Catholics.

      • TiredOldGuy December 30th, 2015 at 17:53

Maybe if he learned to speak in tongues like the Apostolics he would carry more weight.

        • Larry Schmitt December 30th, 2015 at 17:55

Would he have to handle snakes too?

          • TiredOldGuy December 30th, 2015 at 18:01

Well, it’s a little south of me, but we do have snake handlers here in KY.

    • MyDogsAreSmarterThanYou December 30th, 2015 at 18:41

The KKK hated papists for a reason. Not saying that person is a klan member though.

The bitch is bragging now. Jail time was too short.

    • Larry Schmitt December 30th, 2015 at 17:34

I think she just needs to lose her job, since she wasn’t willing to do it.

      • Gina Bousquet December 30th, 2015 at 17:36

        That would be perfect!

      • Suzanne McFly December 30th, 2015 at 17:37

And the dipshit was paid $80,000/year. I am a substitute teacher, I wish I was paid half that.

        • Larry Schmitt December 30th, 2015 at 17:39

Even fulltime teachers get nowhere near that, and have to work a lot harder. I have three sisters who were or are teachers. And forget that “summer off” thing.

        • TiredOldGuy December 30th, 2015 at 17:47

Teachers, subs or fulltime, are some of the most important people in the world. It was a senior year algebra teacher who finally got through to my “social butterfly” daughter that she could succeed with hard work on her part. That daughter is now a neonatal nurse.

          • Suzanne McFly December 30th, 2015 at 17:57

I am full time but as a substitute, I don’t have the chance to work with the same kids on a daily basis. I know some of the kids I work with but I work at over 15 schools so it is hard to develop much of a familiarity with them.

          • Suzanne McFly December 30th, 2015 at 17:59

You also must of done a great job raising her, she apparently is bright and caring.

            • TiredOldGuy December 30th, 2015 at 18:07

Thanks. All 3 of our girls have turned into strong, independent women. As they got older, I became much smarter in their eyes. Very proud of all of them.

              • Jack E Raynbeau December 30th, 2015 at 19:45

That’s the way it is. The older I get the smarter my old man was.

        • StoneyCurtisll December 30th, 2015 at 18:31

The real pisser is, she is still being paid 80k a year…

    • allison1050 December 30th, 2015 at 17:43

I seriously doubt that she actually sat and talked with the Pope. She was just one of many in a receiving line.

      • Gina Bousquet December 30th, 2015 at 17:47

Must have been exactly as you say, she wishes…

        • allison1050 December 30th, 2015 at 18:46

No way would she have been allowed a private audience with the Pope.

          • Gina Bousquet December 30th, 2015 at 19:16

That’s my take on it as well.

            • rg9rts December 31st, 2015 at 01:28

He would have called her an Ahole too

        I bet you’re right..;)

      • Obewon December 30th, 2015 at 20:51

Exactly! And well proven to be true too: her ‘get in the Pope’s receiving line’ sponsor was demoted and was likely fired “early retired” like Ben Carson’s firing.

People who believe that Biblical law supercedes the laws of the land have no business working in the public sector … including elected office.

    • DogsRgoodpeople December 30th, 2015 at 18:15

“People who believe that Biblical law supercedes the laws of the land…………

are the cause of great suffering to modern civilization.

  9. maggie December 30th, 2015 at 17:54

and they will go to jail also….

  10. MyDogsAreSmarterThanYou December 30th, 2015 at 18:43

What you did doesn’t affect any church, as churches aren’t being forced to do anything. That’s the problem with stupid people like this b*tch and Ted Cruz, they see the government as a means to spread the word.

  11. Tommie December 30th, 2015 at 23:02

So much for a country full of laws, unless it fits the rights agenda!

  12. rg9rts December 31st, 2015 at 01:26

I thought we were done with that POS

I thought this thing had finally become the stuff that is hard to get out of lugs on soles of shoes while playing in a dog park.
