Perry: Trump ‘Unfit To Lead…He Should Immediately Withdraw’

Posted by | July 18, 2015 14:03 | Filed under: Politics

Rick Perry responded swiftly to Donald Trump’s savaging of John McCain’s military service.

Perry was the first to release a statement on The Donald’s latest rambling, this one really going for the jugular (emphasis his):

Donald Trump should apologize immediately for attacking Senator McCain and all veterans who have protected and served our country. As a veteran and an American, I respect Sen. McCain because he volunteered to serve his country. I cannot say the same of Mr. Trump. His comments have reached a new low in American politics. His attack on veterans make him unfit to be Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, and he should immediately withdraw from the race for President.

Damn Perry, you force me to agree with you. Good job.

Yeah… a VERY rare occurrence! (of course Perry should withdraw as well since he’s under indictment!)

      • tracey marie July 18th, 2015 at 14:19

The money the state is spending is outrageous. over 1 million trying to get the indictments tossed. The lawyers said it was a discount of 90%.

Perry’s problem is he didn’t stack the state courts the same way Walker did in Wisconsin.

          • tracey marie July 18th, 2015 at 14:38

He did, it took a special prosecutor to make the charges stick.

          • alpacadaddy July 18th, 2015 at 17:01

Yeah… too bad… Wall-Eye Walker is a dangerous, crooked political entity. (Koch dollars at work subverting democracy!… gee Thanks SCOTUS)

        • alpacadaddy July 18th, 2015 at 17:06

These criminal politicians like Gov. Goodhair & Cristie the Hutt should have to foot their own legal bills instead of bilking the public… your tax dollars at work, the Republican Way!

he is asking for more money, he was given 2 million in tax payer funds and has spent 1.25 million. At this rate he has less then 6 months, his lawyers said he is paying 1/10 of their value.

IKR? It’s like having to say “Well, Hitler had SOME good ideals.”….

We need Jerry Springer to do a special just for Trump and Perry.

    • Suzanne McFly July 18th, 2015 at 20:31

Springer is waaaaaay to classy for them.

It’s funny how the guy polling practically in last place is telling the guy in first place to quit. I’m grateful this TBag primary is only getting started. I hope Trump stays in, they deserve every minute of him.

    • greenfloyd July 19th, 2015 at 03:28

Very entertaining minutes as well… :) Sort of like a USO show for the newly energized rank and file conservatives. At this point he seems to even be crowding out Hilary and Bernie as far as media face-time.

I don’t agree with the way he’s done it, however I am glad he’s brought Mexico into the debate. His anger at the Mexico situation resonates with millions of Americans. And obviously millions of Mexicans now here, or wishing they were.

The real challenge now is for all the candidates to weigh in on Mexico. How would each of them deal with a failed narco-state on our doorstep?

You’re obviously a heavy drug user yourself, so you are part of the problem. Hypocrite.

  4. bpollen July 18th, 2015 at 15:37

That’s funny. Like Keith Richards saying “You have to cut down on the drugs, mate.”

  5. Budda July 18th, 2015 at 15:41

I hope the gopt just keep snipping at each others heels till somebody explodes ( and punches another member of the clown car)

  6. dewired4u July 18th, 2015 at 18:49

The whole damn gop lineup is unfit to lead……………….

  7. The Original Just Me July 18th, 2015 at 19:18

Unfit to lead, take it from someone who is experienced on this.

  8. Warman1138 July 18th, 2015 at 20:47

If this keeps up maybe they’ll start having wrestling matches.

    • The Original Just Me July 19th, 2015 at 00:59

      Or love fests.

The people of Texas should note that their former governor actually said something intelligent (although this condition will correct itself in the future), and will resonate with certain people in the state, such as those “monitoring” Jade Helm, especially the part about respecting those who volunteer to serve our country.

  10. amersham46 July 18th, 2015 at 21:36

15 GOPers running hard in a race they will never win

    • The Original Just Me July 19th, 2015 at 00:58

They all keep running to the Back of the Clown Bus. The door is in the front.

  11. The Original Just Me July 19th, 2015 at 00:57

Out of the mouths of idiots, Words to the Stupids.

  12. greenfloyd July 19th, 2015 at 02:40

Trump may be unfit to lead, but there he is Mr. Perry, deal with it! “What would you do about Mexico?” I’d ask him and all the other candidates, Rs and Ds.
