Harry Reid Won’t Seek Reelection

Posted by | March 27, 2015 08:02 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid announced he will not run again for Senate.

Mr. Reid, 75, who suffered serious eye and facial injuries in a Jan. 1 exercise accident at his Las Vegas home, said he had been contemplating retiring from the Senate for months. He said his decision was not attributable either to the accident or to his demotion to minority leader after Democrats lost the majority in November’s midterm elections.

“I understand this place,” Mr. Reid said. “I have quite a bit of power as minority leader…

“I want to be able to go out at the top of my game,” said Mr. Reid, who used a sports metaphor about athletes who try to hang on too long. “I don’t want to be a 42-year-old trying to become a designated hitter.”

Good riddance. Another shyster who just happened to make millions on a government salary will be gone. Thank God. Harry, you won’t be missed.

Is there ANYONE about whom they DON’T say the same thing??
      (Perhaps Russ Feingold).

Funny how truck delivery drivers average $150,000 annually, except Tarter’s rage based upon his ‘poor judgement’ illustrates he hasn’t kept up with his fellow horn blowers.

You know NOTHING about the trucking industry. That would be GROSS wages for owner-operators who then must pay for all their fuel and other truck operating expenses. That brings their actual wage down to the 70K range.

That’s average wages for “truck delivery drivers.”-not owners. You lose again!

Bipartisan Leader Reid reached across the aisle looking for signs of intelligent life to no avail. It’s amazing Harry the boxer delivered so many key bills signed into law, despite unanimous obstructionism to the Fiscal con Obama / Dem Recovery reversing GWB’s Great Recession record low everything since (R) Hoover’s Great Depression.

‘Surprise: Obama on track to leave office with another Dem POTUS budget surplus. Federal outlays dropped below 0% in 2014.’-Conservative AEI. https://www.aei.org/publication/surprise-obama-might-just-leave-office-with-a-budget-surplus/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/speakerpelosi/13630053153/in/photostream/ <-BLS March 2014

The so-called “bi partisan” Harry Reid hid over 300 bills passed by the Republican Congress in the bottom of his desk, never to see the light of day once they got to his office. He was nothing but a shill, a point man for Obama so he (Obama) would never have to veto any of them.

He’ll be missed by the Dems & President Obama for sure. But, of course not by repukes whom he always outsmarts.

Smart move. He was lucky in his last election that the Repubs put up another doofus to run against him. There are a lot of “Bundy’s” in Nevada.

Poor Harry hit his little head walking and now he needs to rest…
