Tea Party News Network Staffers Resign En Masse Citing ‘Despicable Practices’

The resignations follow a Daily Beast expose of the publication.

…its readers perceive as a decline in the quality of content, sometimes with little connection to tea party issues. (One recent headline: “Big Strutting Peacock Picks A Fight With The Wrong Guy.”)

The exposé also shone light on some of their business practices, such as the fact that the Tea Party News Network’s Facebook page regularly posted content from different websites, such as “Fights.buzz, which shows street altercations of the type that are banned from YouTube.” The sites are all owned by TPNN’s owner, Todd Cefaratti, and are all for-profit, while TPNN itself is a non-profit site.

This is a problem for the staff, some of whom sent a resignation letter to brass indicating this was the final straw. “Unfortunately the ‘coalition’ of companies and groups you collectively run has not been operating with the honor that people should be able to respect.”

Wait, what? The tea party has a news network? How did I not know about this? Here I was fretting about the changes to the comedy channel.

“The writes who work around the clock to produce timely and breaking content is regularly reminded that “writers are cheap.” The audience is regarded as unsophisticated simpletons.” what i don’t get is why that’s news to them. of course they are simpletons. the tea party and the followers. LMAO. they (the ones who left) have ethics you know./s/

I’ll bet it had more to do with getting paid. Most of the writers were probably college grads, you the dummies, and were likely being paid minimum wage or just over with the promise it was great exposure and a place to make your bones.

“I am a tea party supporter and never heard of them. Now they’ll really grow now that the people know where to find them. The people are looking for media with what we call “critical thinking skills”, not the “rage” of “social justice” training. Big difference.”

“I am a tea party supporter and never heard of them.”

Sounds like the response to the question:”What do you think of the 1st, 14th, 16th, 17th, and 21st Amendments to the U.S.Constitution?”

They finally woke up and realized they were being played for fools. It saddens me to witness how long it’s taking some in the GOP/TP to realize that the rich and powerful only see them as sources of income and tools they can manipulate into electing politicians to help them maintain their lifestyles.

The devil you say! Now back to Glenn Beck’s adver-tainment telling me to stock up on gold coins and fallout shelter food.
