Liberalism Isn’t The Antichrist

A Facebook friend asked for my honest assessment of a minster she follows. Following her suggestion, I clicked to the minister’s website.

Under the surface of his pseudo spirituality, he’s conspicuously anti-liberal and no friend of President Obama, obviously not to be trusted as a man of God. He’s just another scared, finger-pointing individual posing as a Christian.

I’m not a political scientist but you can bet the farm on this: The root of all evil in this country is Greed, not liberalism. And as my dad used to say to me all the time when I was a kid, this isn’t open for a debate. It’s a fact. Like gravity.

Let me lay this one on you as well: Jesus was a liberal and it isn’t less true because it stings so badly to hear. This isn’t open for a debate or discussion either. It’s a fact. Like gravity. Backed up by the Bible. The son of God may or may not have been in favor of President Obama’s health care reform, but it doesn’t get more liberal than, “…sell what you posses and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.” [Mathew 19:21]

Jesus was, however, very conservative when it came to religion. His goal was to restore his religion to it’s original, holy roots. Which religion? Judaism. Maybe that’s why so many Jews lean to the left.
