Donald Trump Wades Further Into Birther Territory

Donald Trump, who said the other day he has doubts that President Obama was born in the U.S., expressed further doubt on The View, claiming, “there’s something on that birth certificate he doesn’t like.”

Trump repeated his now frequent question about Obama, “why doesn’t he show his birth certificate? And you know what? I wish he would, because I think it’s a terrible pale that’s hanging over him.” Trump continued claiming that “nobody from those early years remembers him” and asked the ladies to show him a picture of Obama when he was young. Although when Trump declared “there’s something on that birth certificate that he doesn’t like,” that’s what finally unleashed Whoopi Goldberg and her opinion.

Whoopi responded to Trump saying, “I think that’s the biggest pile of dog mess I’ve heard in ages” and asked “it’s not because he’s black, is it?” Trump said it has nothing to do with that, but Whoopi continued, “because I’ve never heard a white president asked to show his birth certificate. When you become a President of the United States of America, you know that he’s American. I’m sorry, that’s B.S.”
