Did John McCain Call Hillary A Pig?

Of course not.  When John McCain referred to Hillary Clinton’s health care plan as being similar to the one she proposed in 1993, John McCain said,  “I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”  I don’t recall Democrats going crazy with accusations that John McCain was taking a sexist swipe at Hillary Clinton.

John McCain’s daughter Meghan, on “Fox and Friends” Wednesday morning said, “I mean, I have heard my dad say that the term lipstick on a pig. I don’t like anyone being referred to as a pig in any context. I think there is a lot more educated conversations we can have than these remarks.”

Did Vice President Cheney call John Kerry a pig when he accused John Kerry of talking tough while having, in his view, a weak national security record, and then used the same phrase?

Oh, and former McCain press secretary Torie Clark wrote a book in 2006.  Guess the title.
